I purchased and just recently received one of the 3-button electric sunshades for the CT (from Tesstudio, using a discount code from this forum; Thanks!), but the installation documentation they have on the product page is... um.... not great. Has anyone here installed this item yet and would you be willing to provide some supplemental documentation? I am partocularly concerned about the electrical wiring to the CT system under the frunk liner. The implication (from my perspective) is that they are advising you to cut the wiring in the CT in order to splice in their power adapter for the sunshade. If this is accurate, I don't know how comfortable I am proceeding with the install. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to assist!

Very helpful link. As clearly outlined above, the frunk power outlet and roof power outlet are dc outputs intended for accessory use rated at up to 400w each and controllable from the screen under “outlets and mods”.
The wires are not connected to anything, just capped and curled back on themselves.
the hardest part is retrieving the frunk one from behind the plastic tub which makes up the frunk.

This was going to be one of my first mods, however even after watching the videos, it looks fairly daunting to attempt. Hopefully others who have completed the installation will chime in!

This was VERY helpful! Specifically showing that the accessory cables come from the factory wrapped and tucked for this intended purpose was the assurance I needed. Looks like I have my weekend CT upgrade project!

It appears to reduce the glass "opening" size.

This was why I hesitated in getting one. Does anyone see by how much it cuts in the view?
Looks like it narrows the open sky view between 5 and six inches, which to me defeats the purpose of the glass roof. An interesting change for the ‘25 model year CT is a much darker factory tint on the roof. When I did my wrap the installer pointed that out and suggested deferring the planned darker tint, which we did. Even in sunny south Florida we have had no issue with overheating or glare.

I have a 2025 and I have never thought I needed a sunshade or more tint. While the sunshade is cool, seems to me it takes away from the unique glass roof.

Now if there was one for the front windshield like others said I would buy it immediately.

I put the OEM roof shade in when the days start getting longer in the spring and take it out as the days get shorter in the fall. That way I have maximum light and heat during the darker days of winter and cool shade under the relentless summer sun.
