Another Cybertruck has just been spotted stuck in the sand - on a beach in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Story: https://nantucketcurrent.com/news/cyber-stuck-first-tesla-cybertruck-on-nantucket-has-a-rough-day

The vehicle with Connecticut plates was first spotted by people on Main Street, where it was parked directly on a crosswalk in front of Congdon & Coleman. But that was just the beginning.

A few hours later the truck reappeared, and this time it was stuck in the sand at Eel Point. The spectacle drew a small crowd before the $80,000 (starting price) vehicle was pulled out by the new "I Pull Out Beach Towing" service.

The operator - whose identity is unknown - was described as "super nice...Just a first-timer who made the standard mistakes."

Original Post:

I've seen the photo of the person in CA who got stuck on the beach because he/she didn't air down. I'm wondering if anyone on here has real life experience taking CT on the beach, regularly, especially soft sandy beaches? I've been sitting on my invite order for a month because I can't tell if it can be used as a real beach vehicle (fishing platform), that's an absolutely nonstarter for my primary vehicle. Lots of snarky comments about the salt water making it catch fire, blah blah blah, I just want to know if it can handle the sand being AWD not 4WD if I take the time to air down properly. (Something I never haver to do with my Jeep!). Thanks in advance for any feedback from folks who have been successful (or not) on the beach!
I consider myself an AMATEUR!
Would l make this mistake? Not after seeing so many piX like thiX...

I picked up my CT on Friday May 3rd (missed it one day...) and bought my Suffolk county NY outter beach permit on Saturday and took a cruise down the outter beach at Smitpoint. I didn't have the locker update so I was very careful and made sure I didn't get stuck. The CT performed beyond my expectations. At one point, I moved the slider to rear drive only and TRIED to get it stuck. Nope. I was aired down to 27-28lbs and although it was not the softest part of the beach, it just took off. Very impressive.
I lowered the PSI to 20-22 and it was floating like a magic caret on the beach. I love this truck
We had lunch in the frunk (hate that word) overlooking the bay. We needed a break from all the attention

Can't thank you enough for this post! I've been sitting on my invite to order for more than a month, my only concern has been how it will handle the beach. I'm on the beach with my Jeep almost every weekend, and the beaches are very similar to Smith's Point - I grew up driving on that beach all the time. Also appreciate the details, everything I've read online has been how you can't air the CT down below 36 (I already decided I would replace the wheels and tires right away). My real worry was the "transmission," I see AWD vehicles buried every weekend, and also 4x4 pickups, so this information is really, really helpful!!!

AWD has mechanical lockers front and rear, and the Beast has mechanical locker in the front and virtual locker in the rear, so both should do really well on the sand. No "brake-induced torque transfer" AWD on the Cybertrucks!

Keep moving, 20+ unless too bumpy.

NEVER stop on soft sand.

ALWAYS face downhill when you stop, even if it is "barely" downhill. This is critical and is the difference between never stuck, and always stuck.

The "kids" Home Depot shovel is big enough; 2 rug pieces for mats, 3'.

Raise the ride height.

Top of the wet line (from the waves) is the firmest sand -
but If you get stuck on the wet line, the high tide may come and get you.

The steeper the beach profile, the more risk.

Know when high tide occurs, and plan around that time.

I want to try my CT on a CA, Oregon or WA beach.

My 4runner got stuck in Oceano and I had to be pulled by a truck of a kindly gentleman from Coalinga.
I pulled out one Jeep Cherokee at the beach in Oregon. There are areas just too soft and even lighter vehicles will sink in. Bring a buddy and recovery gear.
