A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was injured after being struck by a car. According to CHP, the officer sustained major but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Interestingly, our local FOX news coverage centered heavily on the fact that the vehicle involved was a Tesla—as though the brand itself were at fault. You rarely, if ever, hear reports phrased as “a Chevy caused the accident” or “a BMW was responsible.”

yeah its been like this forever. They always say Tesla hit someone or crashed or robbed a store.

Hope the officer is okay, but " ejecting him from bike " isn't this what happens on a bike? I've got friends that gave up biking after this exact thing in under 25mph conditions. When 2+ ton meets your body, things don't go well.

This is why Tesla is mentioned. If FSD was involved, the story becomes sensational (not in a good way).

From the photos, neither the MY nor the bike appear significantly damaged, so there's no way this collision was at full highway speed.
