I am in the same boat, more so, because I have a toddler that I have to think about. Getting stranded by myself, for the sake of being one of the first to drive one, cool. But the kid adds another level of thought. I’m still waiting for my VIN, so still some time to think.

I will have to drive over 150 miles from dealer/SC to home when my CT comes in because of my location ( should be in the next few weeks). I'm planning on not bringing my family. Although the recent news is freaky enough to make me feel even more justified not bringing them for their safety or inconvenience of being stranded, but I believe that will be a good test of build quality. Although there was just a new post today with a person saying they hand brake failure after a week of owning and 350 miles.

Does this sound crazy? hahaha I feel I would never do this for any other car, I'm on my third Tesla and have done this trip three times... twice with an early model 3 and an early model y, never had any issues.

After waiting over 5 years for this thing I'm disappointed in the range, the price hike, the quality, and most of all Elons treatment of workers trying to unionize. I was obsessed with this truck when it was first revealed, and got in an early reservation. So, I guess everyone just moved up one spot. Enjoy your cybertrucks, I'll be the guy in a mach-e giving you a friendly nod on the highway

I picked up my CT in Utah on April 24 at 2pm. Drove it home and loaded it up and left on a 2 week over 2,000 mile roadtrip to California. It is now 7 days later and the truck is a dream. We have had no problems at all. The speed limit in Utah and Nevada was 80 mph. Truck drove smooth. We get a lot of attention in Monterey Ca. Like others have said, it is a vast minority with problems. You only live once. Adventure is right around the corner. I put a coat of Protect-A-Clear on the CT three days in. I’m happy with that as well. I will touch up some spots when the trip is over. I am thrilled with the CT and it’s performance.
