I believe those who vandalize the Cybertruck do so because they find it offensive and harbor strong animosity toward it. Their brazen actions appear to be fueled by the attention drawn by prominent figures criticizing Elon Musk and DOGE, which seems to embolden them. Interestingly, they don’t target any of Tesla’s other models.

I agree, and I think fundamentally the hate comes from a deep rooted sense of "oh, this is a radical change and I don't like change!"

I keep telling people that young children today will never have their driver's license due to autonomous fleets coming online. No-one takes me seriously. ?‍♂

nevermind the idea that cities will soon been connected via underground tunnels from TBC, and only EVs will be able to traverse. Boom. Overnight people will dump their gas cars.

The downside of parking it at home and NOT in a garage is the sentry battery drain, which is a very real thing.
The vampire drain of the CT is high to begin with, and with sentry mode on it is going to be eating a good bit of power, not a big deal for a few hours at work etc, but parked for 12+ hours a day at your house that sentry mode, which is 100% required in today's environment is going to be chewing through some battery power.
Something to consider.
Not a problem if the CT is plugged in... Even then, it's not THAT much, at least not for me when it sits for 8 hours at my work (no plugs)... It's getting better as Tesla comes up with ways to NOT drain the battery as much...

We have had the same problems as others... Our neighbors want to take pictures of it, touch it, get in it, ask lots of questions, etc... I even thought 'Why not write something up about it and just drop it off to them all' but nah... More fun to talk about it... Kids REALLY seem to like it!

I also agree that eventually most folks won't even NEED a drivers license with a couple million Cybertaxi's (and other Tesla's) driving around... I would be worried if I was an UBER driver that did NOT have a Tesla...

Oh, and if you want less trouble 'at home' you can always throw a 'cover' on your CT... That's likely to help cut down about 90% or more of the vandals and you can turn off Sentry Mode... BUT, if you get ANY, call the police to help identify them... Once identified, go after them! Contact the media even! They love stories about Tesla's getting damaged, especially if there's video!!

Oh, and one last thing... make sure you post it to Wham Bamm Tesla Cam... hehe... Love those videos!!

The second time I heard is from my officemate with a PhD degree that those anti-Telsa are Trumpers. I am wondering when did they get this idea, mainstream media?
