Any tips to remove these dark areas on my frunk before I consider refinishing it.

On my frunk I have these curved dark lines that stretch across the frunk. I’ve tried three passes with bar keepers friend soft cleanser and an orbital polisher with rupes yellow foam pad And it did nothing really to these spots. Anyone got suggestions for a low risk alternative to BKF I can try before I consider doing something I’m not mentally ready for like refinishing the frunk following the tesla service manual.

Hi, I had some discoloration from tree sap despite wiping it off later in the day. It was a bummer but I watched the attached YouTube video, purchased the necessary polisher and pads and gave it a go. It took some practice but I feel I nailed it. When picking up the CT there were similar spots on mine. The service center “refinished” some panels but was not impressed with the Service centers results. It was then that I realized as a DIY type person, the ease of which this panel is laid (arm height and relatively flat)…I would go for it. And glad I did!

If you decide to tackle…I suggest to follow the manual to the letter. Buy what they say to buy and take your time. Taking time is not hard either since one complete pass of the hood per the instructions takes maybe 5-7 minutes at most.

I noticed frunk scratches on the May 2024 delivery day. The Irvine location resurfaced it perfectly. Your experience may be different. I would suggest examining other owner’s quality if available. Once clear protective film is added to the front and frunk, bugs can wait to be removed.
