I just picked up my AWD and I immediately scraped my knee on the speaker grill on the door when getting out. Then I proceeded to do so again and again like an idiot every time I got out. Wondering if this is an initiation or something.

It happened to me many times during the first month of ownership. It was actually my right knee, which I wasn’t expecting to get scraped. It wouldn’t have been a problem if I were wearing long pants, I guess.

You need to swivel more to the left on the seat to get out or open the door more.

That speaker grille is like a cheese grater! I’ve had my truck for over four months and I still ding my knee every so often. Makes me afraid to wear shorts!

Yes. ?? This happened to me when I exited the truck on medium height a couple times. When on low or entry I haven't made contact with it.

The first time hurt! lol and my skin was in the speaker grate.

Yes you learn to avoid it. Auto lowering to entry mode helps.

In AZ so I’m always in shorts. Happens to me about every other week. Same spot too. Gonna have a scar. 🤣

Where is the speaker you guys are hitting? Apparently, I'm not in the same camp but want to be able to warn others if this is really a thing. I use auto-lower (I mean, why wouldn't you?) so maybe that's it but my wife and daughter have never mentioned it either.
