Anyone park a Cybertruck at an apartment? Where to charge if cannot charge at the home?

I just moved into a great apartment/house in residential, I cannot imagine running a charging cord from my apartment through a flight of stairs, along the side walkway, and over the sidewalk to an electric vehicle, over night. I live in the Berkeley/Oakland area, I wouldn't want to have a charging cord in view.

This discussion may have already been chatted about but I did'nt feel like searching for it. Do people living in apartments simply park at a public charging station for a few hours each day or night to keep it juiced up?

Supercharge it until you move to a more accommodating housing. Some apts have a few charging spots. All new builds are supposed to have as many as handicapped spots. You could consult with your complex agent and see if they would put one in. Worst case they say no.

It's a pretty common problem for a lot of Californians in shared housing, which there is a lot of.

Superchargers are your friend.
Look to see if there are charging options at or around work.
Also check Plugshare.com to see if there are any L2 chargers near work or home.

I'll add, when looking for my last house, finding one with Internet access was a big requirement. Where I was looking, it was far from a given.
Maybe charging should have been a criteria when looking for a place to live.

I do, but am lucky that my building has a few dedicated garage spots with chargers and I was able to get one assigned to me. Might ask what your apartment complex may be willing to do. Perhaps if you pay for equipment they will let you get a charger installed.

Worse case, depending on how much you drive a day you likely will not need to charge every day at a super charger. I personally go 2-4 days without plugging mine in and we drive the truck daily around town.

If available, rent an enclosed garage with electric opener and plug in from there. Slow at 2kwh/hrs but depending on your commute, might get you there.

Plug share app is very useful to see all the options around you. I always recommend people get all the plug adapters for the mobile charger so you can plug into any dryer plug or air conditioning plug in a rental or perhaps a neighbor would agree to let you charge and Park this way if you compensate them properly. Sometimes these plugs are in places you wouldn't expect and you can overnight charge. RV spots work with this option also. I have charged in one, negotiated a cost when I was at an adjacent hotel. A better route planner is also a useful app, to plan your trips ahead of time which increases your confidence. Sounds like you are a new EV owner. Good luck and have fun.

Do you fuel up gas cars every day? Charge it when you need it, and when you head to stores, look for charging there.

You don’t buy and EV if you can’t charge where you live or work. Period.

I’m in this boat but plan on moving in a year. What sad is there is a 110 outlet at my carport that would cover my needs but HOA won’t let me use it. I don’t drive much so I can get away with supercharging once a week. The parasitic draw issues has greatly improved. Winter will be a bigger challenge. Having the promised free super charging would come in handy but crickets.
