I have a samsung t5 from my old Tesla and it works but dont like the cable articulation / space disposition - CT glovebox design is weird for cables to the drive....dont really want to spend $350 but if this fits / works it will free up space in the glove box and I wont pull the cable out rummaging around.

I’m bought and I’m loving how little space it takes and is concealed. I did also bought the 2TB Rocket Nano but is wired and alway in the way so replaced it with the Tesla 1TB.

Hey brother, did you end up getting the 1tb Tesla SSD for your cybertruck? Did it fit? I want to get it but want to make sure it fits.

No but I use one in our model x. I’ve gone through three and none have been reliable despite the claim they are “optimized” for a car environment. In my opinion there are much better 1tb options now. I know it’s not what you’re asking but I honestly can’t recommend it after using it at length.

I did and it does fit / work. it doesnt stick out as much as the little usb key as it's more flush.

That’s definitely the biggest selling point. Very low profile.

Have you had any issues with the drive?

I've been running the Tesla 1TB drive for 18 months in the CT without issue. Had it running for a year previously in my Model S without issue as well. Small, unobtrusive and works well. Videos load slower than off of the 128 GB Tesla thumb drive, but not a big deal.

Maybe there really is something wrong with mine. The Tesla shouldn’t hear anything of it. I guess I’m within spec because it works sometimes. The form factor is awesome.

Form factor is fantastic. Also had one running in my Model Y for over a year, again no issues. Maybe you ended up with a corrupted sector? Could always try copying off anything you need and then reformatting the drive, usually bad sectors will get marked and not used again.

I really love the Tesla brand design. I'm not sure why no one else has replicated it. I would think Tesla owners would gobble them up like crazy!

Curious to see what everyone is using to upgrade from the OEM 128GB flash drive. Tried to search for better options and saw this "Jowua" brand was recommended.

I gave up on our Tesla drive but several people have posted that theirs worked well so I may be an outlier.
currently still use the Jowua.
