Okay, so I've never recorded a YouTube video so take it easy on me. Here are my real-world results of having two magnets on my Cybertruck, one for four+ months and one for three+ months. We find out together as I recorded it, no peeking.

Thank you for posting! We haven’t had any problems with our magnets, either!

That thumbnail looks so much like AI, is it? It's the old Cybertruck prototype, but a better rendering than I thought AI could do (of Cybetrucks at least).

Try using real Neodymium magnets
I have some, but don't see a use case to put them on my truck. I also don't put them on my fridge or anywhere else where they are not required. I used the same type of magnet decals in place of stickers that most people are likely to use.

YMMV

Appreciate it. Somebody asked me about this the other day and I had no idea what they were talking about.

Try using real Neodymium magnets
Why? Would they be better or worse?

I have to say though that most of the 'sticker' type magnets don't use Neodymium... I don't think it's very flexible...

Those magnets were on the truck continuously for 4 months?
The LBI magnet I purchased and put on over July 4th. The Villanova magnet went on mid-August. Neither had been moved or removed since, never thought about corrosion or any reason to move them which is why one still had some of the residue from the pricing sticker I removed prior to application on the CT. With all of the conversation around magnets and corrosion, I figured I had a live test lab going, unknowingly, for a few months so figured I'd capture what I found on camera to either support or refute the case around magnets causing surface corrosion. I'm a data guy, so while N=1 they have been sitting there for months baking through the NJ summer (which was pretty wet) and a dry fall before the last week of downpours. My truck is parked outside 95% of the time since it's a very, very, very tight fit in my garage.

My results were different. With a two foot magnet for less than a month, it left 20-30 spots like this. Most small ones removed easily with BKF, but the larger ones only removed after many applications of BKF and are now discolored.

Would be good to see the magnet and zoom out a bit, can't really judge scale here.

Here’s a pic of magnet on the door.

I’ll get an updated pic of remaining spots and discoloration from scrubbing with BKF…
