I mainly posting this for advice. Luckily the thieves didn’t get anything but one night while I was really tired driving home I decided to stop at a rest stop and take a snooze. While I was sleeping, I woke up to hear some people yelling and talking to each other around my car. All of my windows were blacked out with covers so I could have some privacy and rest peacefully. I heard the noises and I yelled” you all need to get out of here!! I am trying to rest!!” . Just after I said that I heard a boom in the back by the tailgate. As soon as I heard that I thought oh my gosh they’re vandalizing my truck and I got out of the car and raced over the car next to me and four guys were sitting in there. I started yelling at him. What do you guys want? What do you guys want And nobody said anything they just said stoic looking at the steering wheel I decided four against one wasn’t a fair fight so I backed down and went back into my truck.
I didn’t even think to look at the century video on my truck until later. It wasn’t then until I noticed these guys were surrounding my car looking for parts. I think they were gonna try and steal some parts. You see them in the video pressing the door unlocked button, but obviously it was locked. After I approached them, I did end up following them on the highway for a while—in an attempt to scare them away. I do have their plate number and obviously the video showing their faces and what they were up to. I wonder what they were after? Moreover, my big question to the group is do I report this to the California highway patrol? Perhaps they need to know with all the violence that’s going on with the cyber trucks perhaps I could show them the video? What does everyone think? And I am not sure about posting the video in here as it could be an active case. Please advise.

My advice would be to never get out of a 6000 pound weapon. Put that cybertruck in reverse and reverse a foot or 2 and watch them scatter. Go Mad Max on their asses.

File a police report and submit all evidence and statements. You now have them on record, and if they are caught for something else, this gets added to their charges. Don't listen to anyone who says not to report it for one reason or another. Always, always, report it. If you see something, say something.

The CHP has a website to report these type of events. They will want the video. Do a search for file a report to CHP to get the site.

WOW. Crime is a crime. Report to your local law enforcement. Can be a hated crime, can be something else, but you need to report that. Eventually with more reports that police received, more they start to look it into.
