I’m surprised all Teslas don’t have almost identical functionality. For example, the CT turn signals cancel after changing lanes, my M3 does not unless it is in FSD. It is minor, but I love the auto cancel on the CT.
I thought that the Model 3 did, but it has a 2 position turn signal, the Cybertruck only has one position.

Yeah, I got a rental Model Y today and the turn signals cancel after changing lanes (whether slow or fast). I don’t remember that on my previous MY.

Don't worry about it during a test drive. It only works when you would first place in drive or reverse and depending on how the truck is parked, it may not choose correctly.

There's a lot more interesting things to test, like automatically turning off the turn signal when changing lanes only after you are in the new lane.

And there's always a profile in effect, yes, it's a beta feature and must be turned on. There are a lot of things that are worth looking at on the menu.
You're so right about the turn signal lane cha ge thing. That took a bit of getting used to.

It was introduced early this year, I think.

Hi everyone, our CT has started selecting the wrong gear 75% of the time since the last upgrade that included auto-park. It has never selected the wrong gear before the upgrade. Just wanted to see if others are seeing the same behavior? I've opened a ticket with Tesla to let them know.

If Controls > Lights > Automatic Turn Signals is set to Auto Cancel, turn signals cancel automatically when Cybertruck detects completion of a maneuver such as a merge, lane change, or a fork in the roadway. You can override automatic cancellation at any time (for example, you want the turn signal to remain on because you are making more than one lane change). To override, engage the turn signal by pressing and momentarily holding the turn signal button (instead of just pressing). Then, when the first maneuver is complete, the turn signal remains on. If Automatic Turn Signals is set to Off, you must cancel the turn signal manually by pressing the turn signal button after maneuvers such as a merge, lane change, or fork in the roadway.

The auto-select has failed only a couple of times for me, but it's usually obvious when it does. When reverse is selected, the cameras will display.

If I think "hey where's my backup view" then I know I'm in the wrong gear lol
Honest question, what's more convenient?
A) Doing it manually and having it in the correct gear 100%
B) Let the software pick, but having to audit it 100% of the time and adjust it 5% of the time

It's an option to enable now as others have mentioned.

It works 99.9% of the time. I think twice in the past 5 months it went into reverse when it was clear ahead, but no big deal.

The "auto shift out of park" feature is only relevant when I'm well, parked lol. And when exiting a parking space, I always refer to the camera view, which makes it readily apparent which direction was chosen.

In those cases, was the direction obvious? i.e. was there a wall behind you?

Maybe you are now just parking in ambiguous places 75% of the time.

Same, I back into my garage and it has multiple times recently auto selected reverse, never did it prior to 32.5.3.

Also did it in a parking spot where a car was immediately behind it, but it still though reverse was the way to go.

And I had installed the Auto-park update that came a few days ago, and it still selected the wrong direction. But now some good news! I installed the FSD version a few minutes ago and "knock-on-wood" so far it's started selecting the correct gear again. So hopefully FSD update has cured it. I'll post back again if it selects the wrong gear again.

My first impression of FSD: it works pretty good! The only thing I don't like is that, for me, it's too jerky/abrupt/aggressive in speeding up and slowing down. I like the aggressiveness, but just not a blast forward to start and an abrupt slow down when stopping. I'd like to see the take off and stopping smoothed out. Otherwise it's awesome!

Still doing it for me even with FSD update. Did it when I left my house this morning.

Well, we got an update to FSD a few weeks after the original FSD, and now it's selecting the wrong gear again. Even when there's a wall right behind it. Oh well, I give up. I assume this will be worked out over time.
