Just downloaded yesterday, first intent of parking assist hit the back of the truck with a column!!!!
Please take care this feature is not working properly!!!
Really? Your first attempt at parking was in a parking garage with columns intruding into your space?

Several people have made comments about practicing in different threads, but as a user I do not see the point. It can be inconsistent. You can practice it 10 times without a single fault, then you go into a garage like this and have an accident. I think better advice is to not trust the system ever, and always be supervising it.

By the looks of the damage the truck was 1 inch away from not hitting the column.

Those don't even look like scratches. Some of the column rubbed off onto the truck steel.

this was indeed the much challenging spot to park, even for the experienced driver. I would avoid this spot if i can.

Exactly was my intention, let everyone know to avoid columns with parking assist and avoid the excitement to try without precaution

I just want to add. I’m terrible at grammar type on a I phone sometimes with no readers and fat fingers , plus suck at spelling and don’t go back and correct sometimes my spell check comes up with random stuff because it has no idea what I’m saying ? all irrelevant to if I’m being honest or know something.
and why is everyone jumping on dude like he’s lying ? I can see it happening. My FSD got dangerously close to on coming car going around a blind corner and hugged the center line, got honked at . So what it happens some times
