Does your non-FS auto steer / stay in lane like a normal Tesla on Autopilot setting?

There is no difference between how the two versions drive. The Foundations Series is just an add-on.

Lane keeping isn't there yet, I don't believe.

Thought for sure my beast founda, had TACCs, kept lane and speed, didn’t drive it much much before the FSD drop. Might be wrong as my days are running together.

The Cybertruck (no matter if it is a Foundation Series or not) only has Full Self Driving capability or Traffic Aware Cruise Control (Basic Autopilot). Traffic Aware Cruise Control does not have lane keep. The Autosteer portion of Basic Autopilot does lane keep but that has not been activated yet.

ACTIVATED ON CYBERTRUCK:

Basic Autopilot:
Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer (Autosteer has not been activate yet)
  • Traffic-Aware Cruise Control: Maintains your speed and an adjustable following distance from the vehicle in front of you.

Full Self-Driving Capability:
  • Traffic Light & Stop Sign Control: Maintains your speed, keeps a following distance, and keeps Cybertruck in its lane while also slowing down and stopping for traffic lights and stop signs.
  • Autosteer on City Streets (Full Self-Driving (Supervised)): Attempts to drive to your destination by following curves in the road; stopping at and negotiating intersections, stop signs, and roundabouts; making left and right turns; and entering/exiting highways.
Autopark: Parks Cybertruck, either parallel or perpendicularly.

NOT YET ACTIVATED ON CYBERTRUCK:

Autosteer
: Maintains your speed and distance from a leading vehicle while also intelligently keeping the Cybertruck in its lane.

Enhanced Autopilot includes additional features. Enhanced Autopilot Features are designed to further reduce driver workload and make common actions, such as changing lanes or parking, easier.
  • Auto Lane Change: Moves Cybertruck into an adjacent lane when you engage the turn signal and Autosteer is active.
  • Navigate on Autopilot: Actively guides Cybertruck from a highway’s on-ramp to off-ramp, including performing lane changes, navigating interchanges, automatically engaging the turn signal, and taking the correct exit.
  • Summon: Moves Cybertruck forward or backward, even while you’re outside the vehicle. This is useful for parking in tight parking spots.
  • Actually Smart Summon: Moves Cybertruck out of a parking space and through more complex environments, maneuvering around obstacles and other vehicles, to meet you or go to a predetermined target.

Thanks for this info. Question for you, you say auto steer isn’t activated “yet”. Do you know if it actually will be activated at some point? In other words, do we know if Tesla has said they will activate auto steer on non foundation series at some point in the future?

Thanks again!

My wife just got a 2025 MY. I have loved using Autosteer on it. And once she inadvertently had Enhanced Autopilot on and hit the turn signal to change lanes. Fun to see her reaction when the MY just went there! I am disappointed that my CT won't do those things...

AFAIK, there is a high possibility that the Cybertruck will never have Enhanced Autopilot available. EA has been deprecated and is no longer sold.

If you look at ANY car today, I believe that you will see that the only option is FSD. EA is no longer available to order. Since it was dropped before the Cybertruck shipped, I assume that the decided there was no need to add it.

We just bought a 2025 MY. It has Autosteer, as well as TACC. We have not bought FSD. If new MY's have it, why would they not make it available for CT's?

Yes, not having autosteer (beta) is a bummer, would definitely be nice, fill the gap for those not wanting FSD. The autosteer does probably keep a lot of people from buying FSD though, possibly motivation for not offering it to test/push FSD take rates.
