How are you feeling battery hunter? You were a little down in the dumps the other night no?
Was that obvious? I’m alright. I made it to my Friday today and have the next 3 days off. I’m gonna take a roadtrip to Starbase I think. No launch obviously but I can at least get eyes on a Starship and the CT fleet and knock back some cold ones on the beach. Thanks for the checkup, Doc. Hope you don’t bill me too much.

Haha. Friends are friends. They don’t get bills.
I wish I could go. I’ve never been. Been trying to find a window to take my kids to see a launch.
I think they will look back on that one day and say…man, I was there when that was happening.

Hey we have a pact as I recall. First launch of V3, whenever that may be.

Yes we do.
We’ll just have to make it happen. Can’t speak for you, but even if my work schedule doesn’t allow for vacation time, sick time exists for a reason.

Absolutely. I can generally take time off as I need it, the only catch is I need to know in advance because my schedule is typically made 2-3 months out. Sucks when you’re trying to predict what the FAA and space-x are going to do.

I really regret not going for 11. I was off and so were the wife and kids but we got busy doing menial catching up on adult life things.

SpaceX should let us know well in advance of this next one - should be a pretty big deal. But of course if there’s one too many clouds they’ll delay the launch. Always a gamble going to these unless you’re retired and have nothing better to do lol

For sure. There will be many many people at the next one I think.
Goddamn that chopstick catch thing was cool though.

Ideally it’d be awesome to see a booster catch, or even a ship catch. Maybe flight 13/14/15. I doubt they attempt a super heavy catch on 12 as it’ll be flying a new version also.

I mean, this shit is so next level
Looks like a weird mix of flight 8 and flight 5, but yeah, booster catches are next next level.

If you follow space channels on X, you might have heard of the Chinese company LandSpace. They essentially made a Falcon9 replica that they have successfully done a static fire test on so, of course, people are ranting and raving that the SpaceX era is over.

Totally laughable. Similar to when auto makers release some version of TACC and people say Tesla should pack their bags.

Always. So many Elon haters out there excited by companies following his exact lead. I hope they see the irony, but I doubt they do.

There are days where I never engage launch mode for one reason or another, so yeah, if anyone, I’m the sucker here 🤣
I'm right there with you, I've used beast launch maybe 3x since I've owned the truck. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.... I love the feeling of driving around in the ultimate sleeper. Knowing I can pretty much blow the doors off anything that pulls up next to me.

I know a guy who's a huge Ferrari enthusiast, he showed up to a meeting I had in one. I went out to look at it cause I'm still a car guy, I asked him if he wanted to race up the block for pink slips. He laughed at me like I was joking - he had absolutely no idea.....
