Bed Clunk

foundation, late 33k vin, It sounds like an electrical contactor in the bed opening or closing with a loud hollow metal clunk. Similar to supercharging on our older models of the thermal expansion. I get out after a drive we hear the loud clunk maybe within a few minutes after exiting the CT(hasn’t timed it), it’s not on a charger. Haven’t seen any posts on this clunk… normal?

Seriously tho, I believe that sound is the contactors in the HV battery. It's switching over to the 48V battery.

Might be the HV contactors closing or opening. They are pretty heavy duty and do make a significant “clunk” when they operate.

I wouldn't exactly say that's normal...

It's a normal sound and listed in the Tesla manual as one.
