Anyone else dealt with their bed floor d-rings being virtually impossible to pull up to use? I have at least two that are so tight that I bent a small screw driver while trying to pry them open. Do I just throw some WD-40 on it and try prying it up again?

Wow, that is tight!

Try penetrating oil. Mine aren't that bad

Yes, tried tying down a couple of ebikes in the bed and forgot that one is IMPOSSIBLE to move, but I have enough cleats to tie down a battleship. I will have to look at that tomorrow.

The bolts are over-torqued from the factory. If you loosen the bolt and retighten to a more reasonable level the rings should move freely. I caught that from another thread a few months back with others who had the same problem.

I wonder if they over tightened the bolts trying to flatten out the bed surface. I still cannot fit my divider except in the very front of the bed and over the trunk.

Two of them, gouged up the bed liner and bent a screwdriver trying to get them up.

You may be onto something I hadn’t thought about that in that they may have over-tightened them to get the bed to sit lower.

And yes the ads are awfully intrusive.

I had no idea there was any correlation between the screw tightness and the hinge tightness.

Yes definitely loosen the center nut. Mine had the same issue, I was at service anyway and they loosened them for me - too loose that they were flapping around so I tightened them back down a bit and they open fine now.

Mine were too tight for bare fingers from new. I put a couple of drops of medium machine oil on the pivots, worked them back and forth 10 times and now they are perfect. WD-40 won't last. After a year mine still work well.
