thank you, I hope so. Since the Tesla service advisor I saw last time said they don’t polish any of the stainless steel panels, I’ve been thinking replacement. But it sounds like he was absolutely uninformed.
Of course they polish scratches out of the panels, they even have a section in the Cybertruck Repair Manual detailing the different methods and the proper techniques to use.

That's one of the biggest advantages of the HFS panels, they are very difficult to damage permanently, anything short of a very deep gouge can be polished out to look like new, no repainting required.

Source Link? It would be good to show the uninformed Tesla service advisor.

Update: I went back to Tyson’s Service Center and this time I spoke to someone else about the scratches. She pushed back and said there’s nothing they can do about it. This time I very politely told her, no, there is something you can do about it, and it’s been done before by other Tesla Service Centers already. I told her I’m on this forum (plug) and many people have said they’ve had panels either refinished or replaced. To her credit, she listened and said, “ok, this is a new vehicle so I wasn’t sure what can be done”. Yes, she should have never defaulted to an automatic “No” when she did not know the answer. But this tells me that at least at Tyson’s, they are trained to say No when they’re not sure. Not ideal.

Next she called a supervisor who oversees Cybertruck Service and after speaking to him, placed an order for a new hood panel. Why she didn’t ask him in the first place, I don’t know. The original guy didn’t either. But from now on when there’s an issue I will insist that the Cybertruck trained service supervisor weigh in.

Thanks for all the helpful info.
