Why not? Keep your business insurance paid up and make sure you have gap coverage and let them have at it. Worst case scenario you get a brand new CT with a brand new ITC+179 deduction.
It's just not for me. I suppose if I had a fleet of cars I wasn't personally attached to, it might work.

But, with a personal vehicle I love like my CT? Nuh uh.

For sure. Don’t think wade mode does anything for the doors. ?
The doors have a very substantial seal on them though; so the weight of the water makes it even tighter. In most cases.

Makes me wonder why the CT that was launching a boat on a ramp last month sunk and needed to be rescued?
Skill issue. I bet they didn't bother to activate wade mode beforehand, nor did they enable anti-slip, etc.

That might ultimately be true but what a pain in the ass it would be and probably take a lot of time and effort. For some money leads all decisions, but not for me.

Maybe the ramp was slippery. I’ve experienced slippery boat ramps and being able to float wouldn’t help if you can’t get traction.

Oh, I can see the headline now:
"Cybertruck heroically rescued by dolphins after attempting to prove it's a boat."
Or “Cybertruck couldn’t meet 0-60 acceleration specs in Boat mode” ?

In all seriousness, this is so dope! I’m so curious to see underwater footage of this adventure, if they have one!

What an idiot this person is
No they just have enough money not to care if the truck gets damaged/lost doing it. Hell it could have been Tesla people doing it for the publicity.

Until it stops moving, and then we all look like idiots

That is great! That proved, it works. How much water went inside the cabin? If any.
