I'd hate to be on the other end of a lawsuit after removing the mandatory government warning sound speaker. All it takes is one person looking down on their phone while walking in front of an illegally silent EV. The person that hits them to likely be in prison a very long time.
Yea, but my vehicle is a 2020 Model Y, and I don't think it was mando on that... hence why I had to pay for the retrofitting of the PWS. Nobody was mandating I had it, I voluntarily opted for it.

I can't get sound to play through the external speaker. I tried replacing the car lock sound with different sounds and nothing works.

Any tips or something I may be missing?
Can anyone do a video of the default lock and unlock horn sounds if possible please and if you don't mind sharing?

Obviously completely different if you have a vehicle before the sound became mandatory, I can't imagine any additional fault on the driver. If someone takes off the safety feature and hurts someone, a lawyer or jury would have a field day.

I agree. In fact, it gave me more confidence having it bc, as this was my first EV, I couldn't believe how silent the car actually was WITHOUT IT... way too many small children around my area.

The manual says there should be a setting but I don't see it.

When the vehicle locks, the exterior lights flash once. To also sound a confirmation chime when Cybertruck locks, touch Controls > Locks > Lock Confirmation Sound.
yeah it's in the manual but not actually on the screen. looks like they are adding it.
The lock-chime is there, I promise you. Maybe it's in a different place than indicated in the manual? I found it somewhere, I think it might be in the Toybox

I was more along the lines of the crappy experience that could be created, literally!
Hah! Considering I live in Cheyenne WY (COVID transplant from Seattle) I already have plenty of petulant brodozers acting stupid around my Subaru Forrester. I can't imagine it'll get better with the beast.
I'm hoping the fart sound is exceptionally loud because I want everyone around the truck laughing. I find that laughter is the best disinfectant for obnoxious behavior.
