Both.. more for human comfort from what I’ve read, the electrical protection is just a byproduct

Ok. I'm just wondering if I need to be using it to protect the car while it sits in the sun all day when I'm at work or if I can save the battery.

If you’re worried about battery consumption, some good tint will help with heat rejection so your cabin overheat won’t have to work as hard.
