California HOV sticker eligibility?

I have them on mine. I didn't want to at first, but now that they're on, I don't think about them anymore.

Anyone can post pictures of carpool stickers on their cybertruck to get a feel of how that is going to look?

One regret, is for rear, I should have put closer to wheel well, instead of towards back. Oh well.

I am in exactly the same boat, and additionally we have a bunch of express lanes here in Bay area (for express lanes stickers only give a discount and to get it you need a special FasTrack). So i wonder if putting on the ugly stickers is worth it at all. If I decide to do it after all, I will get those vinyl liners, so at least they are removable (but that is even more sunk cost, d'oh)

Those express lane fees are for a group of people I am no longer a member of. I do not really mind sitting in traffic anymore, especially in my MY. I bet I'll be even happier in my Cybertruck. So no decals for me.

Well, to apply to get that special CAV Fastrak, you need to have the stickers. However, once you get the CAV Fastrak, you'll be able to use the HOV and express lanes because they electronically read the Fastrak transponder, not the stickers. The stickers were originally made so that cops and other drivers could see you're eligible to use the HOV lanes, but with the CAV Fastrak, it's not as necessary and who doesn't know Teslas are EVs....so....do you reeeaaallly need to attach the stickers? Maybe just use the Fastrak and keep the stickers and their certificate in the glovebox in case you're ever asked by an officer....Just sayin'.

I submitted it to the DMV online service 2 weeks ago and got the decal yesterday.

The stickers are known for adding to the value of a car in California, as you have to apply when the vehicle is new.

They're supposed to last four years. However, you might lose time since the colors expire in January. Currently, all are supposed to expire next year.

I’ve used Slap Pass, a magnetic solution that you stick your CAV decals on and can be easily placed or removed from your vehicle. Works great on my Model Y and just ordered another set for my truck.

On my 3 I used ppf cut to fit. I going get me a set with the wrap I don't have to worry about the stickers .

I went the magnetic sheet route.

Got magnetic sheet from Amazon, $6.99 for four 8"x10" sheets: Amazon.com : Mr. Pen- Adhesive Magnetic Sheets, 8" x 10", 4 Pack, Magnetic Sheet, Magnetic Paper, Magnet Paper Sheets, Magnetic Sheets with Adhesive Backing, Flexible Magnetic Sheet, Photo Magnets, Magnet Sheet : Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Then cut the sheet to fit.

I remove the decal when I don't need it and store it in the Gear Locker:

What a great idea! I bought some clear stickers for easy removal once they expire. I still haven't installed them because I only need them occasionally. Do you put all four stickers on? If you do, how do the fronts handle it? Do you think they might fly off?

I just use one on the right/rear.

I know this is faulty logic, but I had a 2020 MYLR and never attached the Blue stickers (though I had them in the glove box). Back and forth commute on the 10fwy in LA for four years (heavy CHP presence), and never once stopped, etc.

I only decided to mount the Red sticker on the CT because the CT is really hard to miss and attracts attention, haha!! But I wanted easy on/off, so I went with magnetic sheet.

They stick well. While I haven’t tried it, I wouldn’t be worried about the sticker coming off if it was on the frunk.
