Camera views while parking?

Oh, do the mirrors tilt downward when you throw it in reverse?

I figure I might get used to staring at the screen instead of the mirrors when backing in to a parking spot, but I guess I really won't know until the truck shows up.

Yeah they do. Give both a try and see which works best. I like the rear camera for knowing when I’m getting close to the back line of the spot or close to any obstacle nearby. Do you have a delivery date yet?

Nothing yet from Tesla. Configured on 12/28 for a beast, so I'm hoping it's soon. Kinda weird, feels like I should have at least had a VIN in the app by now.

Oh ok. That is kinda weird with a 12/28 configuration date. Hopefully it drops in the app any day now. I can say with 100% certainty that it’s worth the wait.

The tilting mirrors and cameras work well (especially just to watch the rear wheels turn ). But I would prefer an aerial/360 view. Anyone know if this is somewhere and I’m just missing it?

The front camera is great for pulling into a spot and knowing when to stop. I use this a lot since the Cybertruck is so long and I don't want to leave its tail sticking out into the lane/road.

All future Teslas will have the front bumper camera.

The refresh/Highland Model 3 was supposed to have it too, but for some reason, it got removed. I bet the next-gen platform has the front camera.

FYI- I didn't get a VIN for 160 days after configuration for my Beast. Then another 14 days for delivery.

Thanks for the hope. You're in SoCal, so man that 160 days must've been painful. I'm in WA state, so figured there might be a distance penalty, but the waiting sure does get old.

The cameras are okay -- but they still need to add a 360 overhead view, just easier.

It took me a couple of weeks to get used to parking the CT. I wish there was some kind of warning that alerts you when you're about to hit something. My other vehicle gives the audio warning.

I am wondering why the forward view doesn't show the Forward-Looking Pillar cameras' views vs the rear ones?
Perhaps they can make it an option to use the forward view vs the rearview cameras when configuring the displays.

I've never experienced so much anxiety and anticipation in my life. My RN# was low 112756xx. Good news is my Beast is perfect and incredible. Hang in there.

That's good to hear. I'm surprised they are delivering so many Beasts in the first half of the year when Tesla guided Beasts for the last part of the year. I can't complain, I have my Dual Motor and it's better than I expected. By a lot.
