Does the soft tonneau cover roll up like the hard tonneau? If not, maybe there is a way to open a space between the cab and the vault bed through the rear casting? Personally, I have slept in the vault just fine but it's not weatherproof or air conditioned. I have also temporarily removed the front passenger seat in my AWD CT cab and made a plywood based bed in the cab. That worked great for a solo 4,000 mile drive from CO to DE and back. Personally, I rarely use the rear seats for passengers, so I wish there was a way to open the vault area into the cab rear seat area through the rear casting. Removing the rear seats could make the vault area length almost 10' long and with conditioned air, if the soft tonneau does not roll up.
Whoops. I looked at a Monroe Live video, and there is a structural panel between the cab and vault that probably prevents a large opening between the two. There are openings in this panel that may allow air to flow. Maybe the rear window could be removed or modified for air flow, but it may be structural.

I would pay for this accessory if it had a cleverly designed folding mechanism and got quite compact. Probably not $2k though.

This one might be more convenient👀

I bought that and used it during my cross-country drive a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly comfortable and spacious.

Pros:
1) Price
2) deflates and folds up fast. It doesn't take up much space at all when storing.
3) Comfortable (if you like sleeping in the fetal position)

Cons:
1) With the slope of the rear seat, you find yourself sinking into the corner of the back of the seat and the edge of the mattress. I wish there were a wedge-shaped item that made the mattress level.
2) I blew up the mattress before the trip to check for leaks, etc., and the pump worked. I tried to use the included pump the first night, but it stopped working. The battery indicator said it was fully charged. Luckily, my 110V tire inflator fit it and filled it up in no time.

The seat angle was my first thought. Getting stuck in that canyon at the seat back doesn't seem comfortable. Same problem with the dog liner I bought. Perhaps a customer foam wedge from a foam shop would be an option, but storing it would be the next issue.

Dimensions on the site indicate 74" long, before the vertical section. That seems like enough for a six foot person to be comfortable, but every comment I've read says that they're pretzeled to fit and not comfortable. I guess I'll have to measure to know for sure, but wondering what you found was realistic?

I can’t imagine the CT is 74” wide in the interior. I’ll have to measure it when I get a chance.

Its 60 inches across. If you put the passenger seat back all the way reclined , with some cushioning, can sleep a 6 footer.

LOL, the website image showing 74" mattress length is just a little overly optimistic then...

74" with the headrest lying flat...... only going to get the 74" when the mattresses are outside of the truck.

As for the comfort? I was excited to sleep in my truck using camp mode when driving cross-country. The first night was a little hectic with it pouring rain in AZ while trying to blow up the mattress, but once inside, it felt like being in a spaceship. The accent lights of the CT, the weird sounds coming from Starlink. I slept well, but I can sleep in the fetal position but I did find myself stuck in the crack at times during the night.

Just spent 10 days in it! The height of it was a special surprise, the mattress was at window height which gave me even more room. Was actually very comfortable and stable.
