Decent yes. The side windows are higher than the vault sides so that helps. Also, there are doors and screens on both ends of the tent, which was the main thing we used for ventilation. We also have a couple small/medium rechargeable camp fans that worked well in the tent. Though I wish there were better options on the walls or ceiling of the tent to clip, things like that, too.

That said, one of the issues I have with this particular tent, is that you can't open the side windows from inside the tent. Another wish list item related to your question, though, would be a tent roof design that had some covered vents that could stay open, but not let rain in.
I still haven't understood why the rear window doesn't roll down and connect to the cybertent to allow climate control

I ended up buying a spring bar hot tent. I like the idea of not having to break camp if I want to leave in the truck. I tend to camp in one spot for a week or so the extra setup time isn’t a big deal to me. Bonus is the Skyliner is made in the USA ??
You have picture of your setup? AND the link to the tent that fits the CT near perfectly?

Rooftop tent options are cool but pretty permanent (at least not quickly and easily removed and installed). and impact aerodynamics. Not as big a space or feature rich but my setup, and my ideal custom setup, can be kept in the vault or tossed in / pulled out of the truck at a moment notice, and takes less than 1 min to set up.

That said, what I really want is this: https://spacecampers.com/
The spacecamper is amazing. They seem to be utilizing the width of the truck to give a wider sleeping area (57"). A good idea. If you could rig a portable platform on top of the sail rails you could use a wider tent too. This would be a great improvement and would allow for even more storage space beneath the tent floor.

You are not wrong but I would lose some features of the setup that I really like for my use case. Such as not having anything permanently mounted that will cause drag or take time to install uninstall as needed.

Curious to know if a tent in the bed would stay dry during a rainstorm. Seems like the bed would pool water against the sides/bottom of the tent, causing it to soak in. Does the bed have good drainage?

This is probably an issue. I have a couple possible solutions I'm working on. As is though I think it would be a problem in the rain. At least a heavy one.

Thanks again for sharing this!

I’m definitely going to try this tent out for some sunsets at the beach with the fam. I already have plans to purchase the mars adventure gear extended mattress as well.

A daily driver with tons of gear on top and hanging off the sides just isn’t the look I’m going for. Unless of course I had a company that sold the gear.

Took the Cybertruck camping this past weekend and here are some shots of our set up. This will be my go to until someone comes out with a reasonably priced quick setup tent option designed for the cybertruck that doesn't need to be permanently mount in the bed.

I scoured Amazon for a pop up tent that had the right dimensions to fit in the back of the bed, sleep 2 people, and that makes the max use of the space. I ordered 4 to test but this is literally the only option I found that worked and for those criteria: (https://a.co/d/fhyAEMK).

We set the tent up on top of our @Mars Adventure Gear air mattress in less than 15 seconds. The Air Matress pretty much lives full time inflated in the truck bed. Given its extra thick, durable vinyl we rarely deflate it and just through everyday stuff on top. Read my full review of this mattress here.

Given the tent is not the highest quality and I have not yet tested it in the rain, next time we camp and rain is in the forecast we'll probably just move our 10 x 10 pop-up. Shelter over the top of it at night for some extra water protection.

Also shown is a nice double sleeping bag we got to also live in the truck for camping, drive in nights, etc. And yes I have an issue with gear all matching ?

The last thing I really loved about this setup is that the tent wedges in the bed perfectly and is low enough that even once we were completely set up with all our gear in the tent for the night, we were able to drive it around the campground with no issue! This is a problem I've had with other truck bed tents in the past, where once you are set up, you're pretty much stuck and cannot go anywhere. Next time we go I might actually secure the tent to the L Track and see how it does on the road. Just for a quick trip to town, not on the highway or anything. In a perfect world, a custom cybertruck tent would be able to partially collapse so that the vault could be covered with everything still set up inside it ?

Here is my temporary solution until someone comes out with an after market setup that meets my personal needs/wants.
It didn't rain so can't say how well it works. An 11x11 pop up vs 10x10 would be ideal.

I’d rather a tent not attached to the truck. I wamt to be able to leave camp and not have to put everything away. It’s a skyline by springbar, made in the USA. They have cheaper ones made overseas(classic jack 140). I’m looking forward to winter camping with a wood stove in the tent!

Thanks for the suggestion on the tent. Used it last night and it worked great for me and two of my kids. Fit perfect in the vault, and I love that it literally takes seconds to setup and takedown (rare foldable that isn’t impossible to fold up). I put a queen size blow up mattress underneath, was really comfortable.
