I have a model Y and my wife has difficulty getting in because there is no interior hand on the inside. I hope they put a handle on the inside and I hope it will kneel down low to help the short, elderly, and handicapped get in. I have ordered 4 trucks and last year was diagnosed with ALS. I can no longer walk and hope I will be able to ride in it before my days are over. It would be great if full self driving was approved and I could get a lift to get me in the drivers seat. Or they would be a hand brake and accelerator for me.

I think running boards would help.

Look, little kids can just crawl down into it.

Who needs running boards?

I watched those kids get into the vehicle very intently from when I first saw that video. The reason being that I have a daughter in a wheelchair, and I've been wondering about the variable height adjustments for years.
Those kids have an odd way of transferring into the CT. They go in on their knees. And then slide around to sitting. I'm with the OP. I'm very interested in how a CT can be adaptable for handicapped people. Our 2012 Toyota Sienna had a motorized seat that would swing out of the vehicle to make it easier for my wife to transfer our daughter to her seat. When we were car shopping for a new van in late 2020 we were told that a seat like that could be installed into a Chrysler Pacifica. And then after we bought our PHEV Pacifica. we were told it couldn't be done because of the batteries under the floor. So, for the past 2 1/2 years, I pick up our daughter to transfer her in and out of the van. For mom, she needs another person's help and it's still very difficult. It's fine for me at this time but eventually we are going to need something that makes it a lot easier. I was hoping for a mid-gate, with the use of a tailgate ramp, with a way to strap her wheelchair in place in the back. That doesn't look like an option any more. So I'm wondering about options.

Imagen A future without the use of your leg muscles and no handle to pull yourself in. ALS is a bitch
Neuralink might come to play a BIG part in people's lives in the near Future! Maybe even yours directly or indirectly.

Either use the mount slot on the rooftop or suction handle(400lbs strong) on the smooth surface inside, like this for your convenience. Too bad 300 series used on CT is hardly magnetic...otherwise limitless applicable gadgets...

Curious why you ordered 4 trucks b4 your diagnosis. If your wife is already having trouble getting into your MY, a truck even at a low setting will be higher still. I have to pull up beside a curb and help my mom get in my truck.
For my business.
