Preface this as I am first time EV owner.

I swear I get that feeling I'm forgetting something with this truck. No motor to turn off or on. Now AC to set. Music is already playing when I open the door. I don't unlock or lock it. I rarely put it in drive or reverse. I don't turn the turn signals off when changing lanes or turning. When I get to my destination I unbuckle my selt belt and get out. I don't turn the lights on at night. This mofo will make you a lazy driver and I don't have FSD yet....?

I've got a Model 3 and Model Y. I'm already used to most of that and like you inferred, it's so annoying to have to use that squicle thingy to keep the truck between the lines and turn it periodically.
It is so much easier to jump in the car, tell it where to take me, hit engage, and then chill to music, unbuckle and get out.

Yes, it is absolutely the same as that dang refrigerator light. Does it go off?

I jumped in my old 2004 Dodge Ram yesterday. The steering and braking was the first thing I noticed. It was the Dodge steering wheel I was hacking on. Felt like I was driving a 1960s Ford Galaxy 500. You really adapt quickly to the new tech.

Just wait until you haven't been to a gas station in months (or a year+) and then you get annoyed and frustrated by how dirty the pumps are and that you're standing out in the freezing cold filling up your rental car before you have to return it.

OMG, I had to stop by one of those things last week to fill my boat up.
If we were switching from electric to gas, there is no way in hell that people would ever approve of gas stations.

The CT is my first EV and believe me, it is difficult to drive a regular vehicle after the CT. So I try not to. heh.

You definitely get spoiled owning a Tesla. We bought our first Tesla, a Model Y, in early 2021.

No more filthy gas pump handles and CC card skimmer worries at gasoline stations, no key FOB, no more mechanical clatter from an ICE and old school slush box tranny, rarely applying your foot to the brake pedal, etc.
