Canada - any scoop on NonFS timing?

Wondering if anyone has recent info on when the nonFS CT’s will start coming to Canada?

In the US, it was around 11 months between the first Foundation Series CT deliveries (Nov 2023) and the first non-Foundation CT deliveries (Oct 2024). But production in 4Q 2023 and 1Q 2024 was still relatively low, since Tesla was still ramping up. So that might have delayed the transition.

In Canada, the first FS CT deliveries were in Nov 2024. So if Canada follows the same pattern as the US, non-FS deliveries would be due 11 months later, in Oct 2025. But the transition could potentially go faster in Canada, since CT production is now fully ramped.

It's quite possible that Tesla is not committed to a firm schedule. My hunch is that non-FS CTs will become available in Canada at whatever point the FS CTs are no longer selling.

I sure hope they cut over in early 2025. Don’t see how they will keep selling for another 9 months. Esp at $136k plus for the dual.

I think they’ll be coming to Canada fairly soon. This is my guess because only between 2.5 and 4% of the reservation holders actually bought the Cybertruck the rest never went through with the purchase. I suspect that this means Tesla has a lot of extra CTs to unload. I was originally told I would get my Cybertruck in August 2025 and I got it six weeks ago. Also, I talked to another person who ordered the Cybertruck without a reservation recently and received his CT in a 10 days.

The online order page for Foundation Cybertrucks in Canada currently says "Estimated Delivery: Dec 2024". There are only 8 days left in December 2024 (including weekend/holiday), so that implies fast delivery.

In the US, CT delivery dates are specific to your zip code. Can't say that I've tried every zip code, but December 2024 delivery appears to be the norm (even in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico). In some places (like Chicago 60602), the CT is "Available Today".

Fingers crossed they flush the Foundations out in December and we get access to nonFS in Jan. I'll be in the market when they make this move. Hopefully the eroding exchange rate doesn't bite us.
