Canada Non-FS Orders

They opened up free supercharging on FS on March 5th in Canada. We took one this afternoon, so thrilled to get the chance for free charging.

This happened as I expected and timed it out. Had Tesla announced this a week earlier, there would certainly be a Foundation Cybertruck in my driveway right now. However, I had enough of the political drama and selected the Rivian R1S as my next vehicle.

I withstood the stigma of driving three Teslas since 2014. I was prepared for the ire of those who found the Cybertruck distasteful. Unfortunately, things are trickling beyond dirty looks and I worry for the safety of my girlfriend if she drives it.

I do hope to rejoin you all in a year or two when the political landscape has cooled down. I also hope Tesla fixes some glaring omissions in that time (eg. a digital rear view mirror)

Until then, I credit your courage and thank you for normalizing the Cybertruck to make it a more palatable vehicle choice.

Enjoy your Cybertrucks. It is a magnificent piece of engineering and much more fun to drive than a Rivian.

My CT came in earlier than expected and I picked it up a couple of hours ago. It is AWESOME. Amazing truck.

Excited for the rest of you guys to get your Cybertrucks.

Congrats!???. How’s owning the CT for few hours? I am excited now to get mine but too worried about the hate crimes especially CT here in BC.

Update on my end, delivery date was scheduled on the 19th but is now delayed due to to the truck/shipment being held up at the rail yard (might know more by Friday/Monday but boo nonetheless)

I did have issues with actually scheduling the delivery. I got the notification to schedule but the option wasn’t selectable (as if I never got the notif). I ended up having to go to a service center as I got the final notice notification and didn’t want to have any hold ups on my end.

Thankfully the rep was able to contact the service center that was taking delivery of the truck, turns out that service center only allows people to schedule deliveries on Wednesdays which prevented me from scheduling

For anyone else experiencing the same problem, I hope this helps ?

This definitely aged poorly, I keep getting my appt scheduled and then canceled/shifted ?

March 28-31st is now the hopeful date that my truck will be ready but they also say they don’t have an ETA at the same time

It’s been a long wait for you. I read in the news they will all recalling all CT because of the panel issues. Maybe that is one of the reason why you haven’t get yours yet?
It’s been 2 weeks since I picked up mine. I really love the truck. Can’t even resist to not buy different accessories for it. I even tried to install the hanshaw dashcam mirror but returned it few days ago because i was getting an alarm “ cabin night light camera faulted/blocked” every time I will use the FSD at night. Returned as well their swivel mount screen because i read something from youtube that his encountered vibrations after a month of installing it. Hopefully I will be getting my refund soon.
There are maybe 90% positive reactions and 10% negative I am getting while driving the CT or even at parked in my driveway. I got middle finger one time from a pickup driver near where i live in BC and 3-4 times honked at me while driving to work.
I sticked a maple leaf magnet on my tailgate.
I also ordered a customized sticker with a note from amazon hoping it will prevent any vandalism.
Yesterday, I tried to used our other car because we went to a carnival and was so worried my CT will get vandalized when I parked it. It feels so different to drive it. It was like I was a new driver. It was so awkward every time i have to turn the steering wheel of my Honda pilot.

Glad to hear you got yours and enjoying it! Good to know about that rear mirror mod, I was actually thinking about getting one of those so I’ll keep my eye out for that issue

I’m really hoping I can take delivery this week but we’ll see ?
