I’m looking to have my Cybertruck wrapped soon after delivery, most likely with STEK DYNOblack-matte PPF.

I’ve talked to a few shops who never mentioned adding ceramic coating until I asked about it. I see folks mentioning applying ceramic coating over the wrap, windows, and all exterior plastic. Is this the best way to go? One shop told me to ceramic coat the windows now which they’ll include in the price given then come back in a year to have the wrap ceramic coated to preserve its hydrophobic properties. None of the shops mentioned ceramic coating the exterior plastic, tonneau etc. although I saw some YouTube videos saying it preserves the tonneau & exterior plastic and prevents fading.

Any recommendations on what exterior areas should be ceramic coated?

It’s great that you’re planning to wrap your Cybertruck with STEK DYNOblack-matte PPF—that’s an excellent choice for both protection and aesthetics. When it comes to ceramic coating, it’s definitely worth considering for several areas of your vehicle.

Applying ceramic coating over the wrap, windows, and exterior plastics can significantly enhance overall protection, maintain the wrap's hydrophobic properties, and prevent plastic components from fading over time. While some shops might suggest waiting a year to ceramic coat the wrap, applying it sooner ensures you get maximum benefits from the start. I recommend waiting 3 to 4 days after the PPF installation to allow the edges to cure properly. Once everything is settled and passes a quality check, you can move forward with applying the ceramic coating.

Coating the windows is a smart choice, as it improves visibility during rain and makes cleaning easier. For the exterior plastics, TOProtect is your best option for both cosmetic enhancement and protection. You can check it out here:

In summary, I’d recommend ceramic coating the wrap, windows, and protecting exterior plastics with TOProtect right from the beginning. This approach will give your Cybertruck a comprehensive layer of protection, keeping it looking fresh for longer.

I used Halo V2 to ceramic coat my Mate Black wrap.. 50ml is $100 pretty easy to apply
What about the exterior plastic including tonneau cover, is it helpful to coat those as well?
