True, I do agree the difference in bed length comes from reclaiming dead space between bed wall and seat back, but you still have to contend with a truck that is 4-5" shorter than an F-150. I'd bet a good chunk of that comes from the second row.The spaces, however, are somewhat parallelogram, tilted back - like the seats. They eliminated the voids between the bed and some of the frunk to make it all fit. Wasted space (or space blocking your forward view in the Lightning)
