When the first storm of the season arrived earlier this winter, I quickly found that removing snow from the Cybertruck can be a challenge. The truck is so tall and so wide that those couple-foot-long brushes we're all familiar with - you know, those ones you swipe back and forth - don't work very well. Even if you're 6' 2", much of the truck remains stubbornly out of reach.

I decided that what I needed was a full-sized stiff-bristle push broom.

But as I was driving down to the big box store to pick up one, I got to thinking about all that plastic built into the tonneau cover, and what stiff bristles might do to it.

I ended up picking this up instead.

Having now had an opportunity to use it on two significant snowfalls, I can report that it works amazingly well. You can either drag snow towards you and off the vehicle, or push it off on the other side. It works really well on other vehicles, too. But the large, flat angular surfaces of the Cybertruck are particularly suited to it. And the squeegee surfaces are rubber, so don't scratch the plastic.

It makes short work of a chore most of us don't look forward to.

There’s a defrost mode in the Tesla app. Use that first. Just spent last weekend skiing in the Pocono Mountains in PA and I can tell you that it melted 6 inches of snow off the truck with no issue. All I had to clear was the tonneau and the frunk, which was easy because the proximity of the warm cab made it simple to push off in minutes

Looks like you prepped with a tarp over the back for the power. Take it a step further, tarp over the whole thing, tie it to a tree or something, drive out from under it. Not like your going to scratch it or anything.

Parking the car in a carport might be a better option.

While in Denver I used a cover to keep the snow off my CT. You can actually preheat (defrost) the truck and almost all of the snow on the windshield portion of the cover will melt and bead off. This was an Airbnb and I didn't have access to the garage, so the cover was my next best option.

Get a snow broom they are absolutely wonderful. Google it. Or look for it on Amazon
Absolutely. I have a snow broom and a shovel ready in the truck bed. Combine them with Tesla Windshield Defrost, and the Slippery Surface driving mode in the Dynamics menu, my truck can handle any snow conditions here in New Hampshire.

It sounds like the Cybertruck is the first full-sized truck you've had in snow country. Because it's a lot easier/quicker to clean off the Cybertruck than my F-150 with it's snow collecting gutter at the bottom of its windshield. On the F-150 the air intake is in the gutter at the bottom of the windshield so if you don't clear the gutter out, the windshield will not defrost properly.

The Cybertruck is super easy in comparison. Sometimes just defrosting the car remotely will cause it to self-clean. Huge sheets of snow can just sheet off the front of the vehicle (depending upon climatic conditions). I park with the nose facing downhill which makes it even easier.

I have a long handled brush/squeegee that works. But I have cleared several inches of snow off it several times so far and it takes some time.
Kid's car is in the garage since it fits way better and Cybertruck definitely doesn't need a garage. But next notable snowfall (likely this week), I have decided that Cybertruck will squeeze in the garage and kid's small car will be outside and is much easier to clear off.

Fine! $36 Home Depot Squeegee would do till I get “Snow off” mode for the Cybertruck!
