He’s a contractor for Tesla in Austin. This guy seems like a non-Tesla person. Any other info on him? He just got a truck yesterday.

if it doesn’t start to brake loose real soon, like this week, then they may be looking to Q2Someone brought up a few months ago that if Tesla was to release the truck to the general public before the end of the year, that they would have to start realizing a lot of the development costs in last years books.
So by deferring to this year, there was a LOT of money to be saved.
Let's see what gets delivered the next few days.
They've got a lot of vehicles to get out in the next few months.
And then all hell starts to break loose.
I just posted 24 more on the outbound lot.if it doesn’t start to brake loose real soon, like this week, then they may be looking to Q2
That said, they haven’t registered any more VINs since Dec 22, and had only ~350 VINs on deck
subtract out say 20 for delivery event, another 50 for deliveries to date, and it suggests:
(1) Tesla could unload ~280 trucks this week, but then
(2) have no more to unload the next week
wouldn’t be a big bang
interesting to watch
at this point, almost need to see VINs registering more than trucks in outboundI just posted 24 more on the outbound lot.
Not concrete of who they’re going to, but… somethings gotta give.
This is how fake news starts. Please verify before you post. You make the rest of us look bad.One data point.....
Do you not remember this thing called Christmas?if it doesn’t start to brake loose real soon, like this week, then they may be looking to Q2

your snark is unwarranted and reflects more on your misunderstanding than mineDo you not remember this thing called Christmas?
But it does lead to not wanting to get more VINs on the books until the next year.your snark is unwarranted and reflects more on your misunderstanding than mine
plenty of people have been working and building over Christmas
but it’s been catch-up of units already through the line
Regardless, Christmas doesn’t explain not registering more VINs for build post-Christmas
Thats not how accounting works.Someone brought up a few months ago that if Tesla was to release the truck to the general public before the end of the year, that they would have to start realizing a lot of the development costs in last years books.

no, it doesn’tBut it does lead to not wanting to get more VINs on the books until the next year.
Wrong guess, and lots of reasonsI'm guessing that the assignment of a VIN has monetary ramifications
great for themAnd some manufacturing companies use that time to upgrade the production lines.
Does anyone have a Tesla employee connection at the Fremont plant? I need one Cybertruck to display at the 2024 Silicon Valley Auto Show , February 16-18th .Cool! But how do we know he’s not an employee?
