Initial install of my Coverking Ballistic Tactical seat covers. I was looking for MOLLE storage options for the back of the seats and came across these. They’re made from 1680 denier ballistic fabric. It’s not a stretchable material, so there will be some slack, but I still need to do some adjustments on mine - it should get a bit tighter. They come with 6 storage pouches by Skanda.

I guess if you aren't interested in your seat's airbags, that's one way to go.

I did check for airbag compatibility before ordering:

  • Side airbags are accommodated with side airbag flaps or special breakaway stitching on newer model vehicles”

Absent small holes in it (like the seat itself has), I wonder if the seat cooling will work. Maybe the seat heating, which doesn't seem to depend so much on blown air, will, but it's weak anyway (compared to a high setting on some that's like a heating pad, nice with sore back or legs), and a layer of anything might make it weaker.

Of course if you're going to be getting ruggedly dirty and then sitting in there, you might not care about seat heat or cooling.

Those need to be made way tighter and form fitting. That’s like a my 9 year old putting my clothes on. But if you’re happy with them then that’s all that matters

Haha, it will get a bit tighter, I just didn’t have time to get everything properly installed yet. I’ve re-installed seat upholstery on aircraft faster. Almost need to be a contortionist with these trying to find where to route the straps and s-hook.

I should have mentioned, I was going for seat protection and added functionality with the Molle back for storage. Wanted to make sure the seats are protected when we come back from dirt biking and snowmobiling.

Heating still works, but when I tried the cooling it definitely seems to be getting blocked. I might remove them during the summer months, was looking more at keeping the seats protected during the fall through spring.
