I often get a warning that cruise control won’t brake while my FSD is on. I’ma little confused. First, since I’m in FSD, why am I am I getting a cruise control message? Second, why does this message appear when braking still happens automatically?

I see that message when pressing the accelerator to encourage the autopilot to go faster than it wants, but it goes away once the accelerator is released. Might be an issue with the pedal if it persists with your foot off the pedal.

I’ll check if that’s what triggers this. It still doesn’t make sense why this would happen since a lot of times, FSD goes slow but it’s not a big deal I guess.

I only get that message if I am pressing the accelerator while in FSD. I do find myself pressing the accelerator often when I just want it to go faster or at an intersection and it is not sure if it should go or not.

By pressing the accelerator, you are overriding the choices FSD has. So naturally, the breaking is overridden.

That is one of the great features of FSD. I can give the CYbertruck a little kick in the pants if the truck is being too cautious. I want it to be extra cautious but I also like to get where I'm going. I dread the day when I have no "supervisor input" capability. I really don't want a Cyber/Robo taxi. I bought the Cybertruck largely because I like driving and it is the best driving truck ever in the history of the universe! (intentional hyperbole). I also purchased FSD so that I can direct the Cybertruck to do the really boring miles and or deal with heavy traffic. It's the Burger King of driving ... I can have it my way! 😎
