I picked up my AWD CT yesterday at Libertyville, IL and drove home to WI. It is AMAZING!! Quite an upgrade from my 2003 Avalanche. Shout out to Carlos who took all the time I needed to get familiar with my truck since this is my first Tesla. I couple things to share. The steer by wire and regenerative braking take a bit to get used to. We drove around a parking lot for about 15 minutes to get a feel for these features. The steering is SUPER responsive - especially at slow speeds. Not a problem, but certainly something to get used to in such a big vehicle. One pedal driving is different too. I describe it as needing a much lighter touch on the accelerator for both speeding up and slowing down. Neither is a problem, just a difference. I have a couple panel alignment issues - the frunk and A pillar on the drivers side are off a little, so I submitted a service request. Carlos had good advice for dealing with all the attention - be friendly and have boundaries.
RN: 11283xxxx; order date: 1/9; VIN assigned 3/26; VIN: 42xx; Delivery: 4/9. Long term Tesla Investor.
Carlos said he had 12 more trucks in inventory and was doing deliveries almost everyday. The other Tesla dealers in IL have trucks too. Production is ramping and deliveries will too. If you are still waiting - hang in there - it is worth the wait!!
