This is a very odd poll. Choice #1 is "Yes, I hear noises when accelerating." Who couldn't pick this one (considering there is no such thing as an EV that doesn't make noises when accelerating).

But the title of the poll is "Cracking and Stretching Noises" which is a really odd way to describe any normal Cybertruck noises. Nothing is cracking (or you have some real serious problems) and what the heck is a "stretching" noise? Most, but not all, things that stretch do so without making obvious noises.

The disconnect from reality is so severe, I suspect this poll was created to create the impression that the Cybertruck is not a solidly built truck, which is actually one of its biggest strengths. Every time I load it with too heavy of a load in the bed, I note how solidly it drives (and with no creaking or groaning). The first couple of times I over-loaded it I was amazed, now I just expect it.

This poll should either be re-written to make actual sense or it should be retired so as not to confuse non-owners coming here looking for solid information.
I agree, it is confusing. I typed it out too quickly and wasn't clear. I meant does it make creaking noises on acceleration as that's what mine does. I was just trying to be fun with the others. I tried to delete but cannot figure out who. @Administrator , can you delete the poll if able?

My center console creeks too. Just started happening when I’m driving and take decent turns 30mph plus. Must be a little flex in truck or console just shifting slightly. Any clue how they fixed it? Seems like a home job with a wrench or screwdriver but haven’t looked into it yet.
It’s often just the vinyl of the seats rubbing against the center console. A silicone spray wipe can temporarily eliminate this noise.

It's funny you say that. I just looked in the back for the first time to see if I could isolate the noise (which i couldn't without driving) but noticed my driver seat is set all the way back and the plastic part of the chair is pushing on the console. Could easily be that. Will check the next time I take for a drive. Thanks!

I don’t think there’s anything that confusing about this poll for those that have a noise. I’ve had a noise coming from my door with every mild acceleration for a while and I’ve had persistent issues with the driver door sagging over time and not even closing properly due to a latch alignment issue. I think there’s a good possibility creaks can stem from rubbing at the latch if there’s some metal on metal movement. There’s also the console/seat interface.

I took delivery of my CT on 09/25/24 and I absolutely love it. I am under 1000 miles and I noted that the truck is starting to give some creaks and crackling noises when I get on the the pedal. its when the truck is accelerating and stretching is when I hear it.
has anyone else experienced this?
The creaks I mention are absolutely chassis and structural, and not inside the vehicle like a center console or other. When I roll the window down and get on the pedal I can hear it from the outside.

Found the creaking noise. It’s the lower panel of the back of the center console. I pulled it off, sprayed silicone spray in the clips that hold it and 100% gone. The clips were loose making the noise at every turn between 20-40mph. Gone

So far so good on mine. I thought I had a noise develop but it turned out my squeeze water bottle was the culprit.

Test drove one today and was mostly impressed but it was creaky , my wife was sure to point that out because she’s not a fan of the truck. I was expecting it to be quiet and that it was not.
Haha my ex wife wasn’t a fan of it also she said it was a fridge on wheels ! Mainly because she thinks the money should be spent on things she wanted. Made me want it even more ?

Good thing my other trucks were gas motors or I’m sure there would be a million threads on ā€œcreaking ā€œ. It’s simply so quiet you hear anything. Most of the time it’s somthing dumb , a vibration on a panel somthing in the side of the door you left what ever
I solved this problem my self.

Because EVā€˜s are so silent it makes eliminating NVH even more challenging for engineer's.

It will be from the mid and rear aero shield(so they did lubricate and perform a torque check to ensure it is secured), if you can hear the noise from the exterior. also, I'm not sure what the post is, but the service center adjusted the post. I fixed the same noise last week.
