I would put that on the rear end of a truck if it featured protection and it articulated out of the way for access.referring to this bumper --
Less than 2” recess between bumper at rear and SS. And that beautiful tailgate SS panel is mesmerizing. Especially distracting to drivers following behind this flat slab of shiny. Notice that the reverse transom top edge extends out, over and beyond the vertical plane of bumper protection!
Wife’s Disco was rear ended stopped waiting at a traffic light. Very intelligent (3letter) agency employee swore he didn’t see the brake lights. Cybertruck is equally wide, similarly at risk.
Not to mention the errant tree branch backing into a marked parking spot; not visible at Tam Jct. in Marin. Shit happens! Definitely, there will be a market for functional protection. OR you accept the repair weld seam when crunched exoskeleton is replaced.
