Do you think that’s accidental? Or perhaps just choose to believe that it is because it’s expedient to promoting your particular ideology? You may be an expert, I don’t know you well enough to allege otherwise, but if you are, your opinion would be a scatter point that’s not quite in line with what the both the intelligence community and academic community seems to think. That is, pre-censorship.
Most actual experts on this seem to believe domestic extremism is a much more complex problem which isn’t confined to one ideological side.
I focus on the present rather than dwell on the past and currently the bullets are only coming from one direction. Peace brother.

Pretty sure they say similar things in their forums.
I dislike Subarus personally too, but channeling and embodying the thing you say you hate the most as a way of expressing your disgust is not that useful.
Why can’t the world be about stupid/angry and not stupid/angry instead of libtard lesbians and swastikar drivers?
How is identifying these people by their Subaru any more ok than identifying you by your Cybertruck?
Wait…it’s not. It makes you just as dumb as them.
Maybe slightly less because your party currently happens to be in charge and therefore you’re less likely to suffer retaliation.
Unfortunately that won’t always be the case.
The difference was I was kidding to make exactly that point. I don't give a crap what car people drive.

more like hates himself for driving one...
I want to make it clear that I am kidding about driving a particular car. He hates the Cybertruck for some reason so I was pretending to do the same about his car. I would never vandalize a Subaru, for instance or any property that doesn't belong to me for that matter.

Vandalism is a particular mindset that I could never understand. Jealousy is not my thing.

I love to see others succeed as they deserve to, but you can hear it in their hearts when they talk about taxing the rich so that they can spend other people's money.

The frenzy when Elon was announced First Trillionaire was psychotic, mentally ill, absurdity beyond crazy. I hope to see Elon make Quadrillionaire status within 10 years or 2 would be great.

Agree. Jealousy is a major driving force.

I had to listen to one of the VP's at my work go on for 15 min about how his wife wouldn't let him get the truck back when I got mine in 24. I don't now this VP, we do not interact in a business sense either, it was just a random rant

I am not a VP, I don't make VP salary, I got my MBA, got a promotion, and saved for 4 years for my CT. The desire to own this truck and be part of this was to me an "iPhone moment" a once in a lifetime chance to be part of something this unique and paradigm shifting .

No joke, wanting the Cybertruck made me better my life in general. I am thankful for the personal growth it helped me make.

This post might sound a little sappy, but for me, a normal everyday American Joe, buying a 120K bulletproof supercomputer pickup was more than I ever thought possible, I am thankful.

The community at large which I’m an active member of. You can pretend all you like that “Subaru” isn’t a thinly veiled reference to left wingers in this country if you’d like, but anyone reading this in context and being remotely honest has a pretty clear idea what is meant by that.
I’m just perhaps one of the only people here not being disingenuous and pretending I’m talking about car buyers with a strong preference for boxer engines.
The above derogatory terms are indeed not mentioned in this thread but they are a part of the sentiment being conveyed and if you choose to argue this point using terms like blue hair or Subaru driver you become guilty by association with all the assholes who do use those terms.
Lastly, you don’t know as much about me or my voting history as you think you do.
Not that it’s any of your business, but I happen to have consistently voted republican in every election I participated in until the rise of Donald Trump whom I think is a crystallization of destructive forces in our society and a particular flavor of koolaid I choose not to drink for a reason.
I also think it’s quite revealing that you and others choose to use the term “democrat” in sentence context that make it sound like a swear word. It doesn’t bode well for the future of our country that both the Subaru drivers and whatever they call us all hate each other and aren’t even making an effort to see each others viewpoints so they actually can make America a great place again.
Why, oh why, can't we snicker about Subaru drivers without someone climbing on their high horse and trying to turn it into a political argument? A Subaru joke is just a Subaru joke, you shouldn't be offended so easily.

For the same reason you don’t like it when people snicker at Cybertruck and Elon jokes.
it’s not a question of what you’re “allowed” to say. Clearly no lines are being crossed there.
It’s a question of what you should and shouldn't say because of how it makes other people react to you.

I love the "inside joke" of CyberTruck's seemingly always being vandalized by Subaru drivers. :ROFLMAO: In fact, it would be funnier if Subaru vehicles were vandalized, heck, I'd chuckle about any other make of vehicle being vandalized by a CyberTruck driver. (Wait? No one has ever reported that CyberTruck drivers vandalize any make of vehicle. :sneaky:) Hard to create a stereotype for joking about when Subaru drivers have cornered the "irony" of Tesla vandals.

I ran a Subaru dealership for 17 years. I’ve owned several. Stereotypes are a valid first order approximation…

I’ve owned subarus, Toyotas, Ford, Mazda, lexus and one time hitler sponsored german cars. I like ICE, EV, Jet, Uranium powered cars. I don’t hate any cars - be it a Yugo, Fiat, or Subaru. I am a car guy period.

What I hate is anyone that belittles others cars and even tries to destroy them out of jealousy or some righteous selfish ideology.

Do stereotypes have a bit of underlying truths, sure do. So I think the blue haired leftist stereotype fits the Elon hating crowd. And the redneck truck loving Ram/Chevy stereotype right wingers fits the Elon hating crowd.

Now let’s get back to hating the individual moron that vandalized this particular CT.

Kumbaya you all 😉

Edit: also if you can’t see the humor of our own dumpster on wheels, or Frigidaire then you don’t deserve the CT.

“Subaru drivers bad” is the very same logic social media zombified “cybertruck bad” people use.

However, pointing out that Subaru has about a 4% market share here in the US, but it seems to be involved in 30 to 40% of the hate and vandalism stories on this forum - that’s an interesting observation to make.

For assholes and racists, sure!

You’re kind of making the good doctor’s point here. If these are “valid approximations,” how many Cybertrucks have you vandalized, since you’ve owned several Subarus?

Why isn’t @hemiarch driving one instead of a Cybertruck?

I am mystified that admin let you guys go on this long with this ridiculously political thread, where the usual suspects sit here confidently making broad sweeping assertions about the people they don’t like and make sure that everyone understands which team they’re going to be on for the RAHOWA. 🙄

Hero worship and team sports — blind allegiance to political parties and labels + zero sum thinking, “they have to lose so I can win” — boys and girls, are going to be the undoing of what’s left of this fucking nation. MARK MY WORDS!

That’s the biggest mental health problem we have!

There are sooooo many specific reasons to fucking hate you other than what you look like, what kind of car you drive! I am always going to put in the work to discriminate against you SPECIFICALLY based on the real reasons that you deserve my contempt! None of which will be demographic. George Carlin had a bit about this decades ago. Some of y’all are just lazy!

And that’s exactly what @hemiarch was calling you out for!

You’re happy to do the same thing to others that you’re bitching about them doing to you because of your CT. 🙄 Namely, put them in a box based on whether they chose to color their hair blue or blonde from a bottle. Both are fake as fuck. But one them carries a code that appeals to your sensibilities.

I don’t like Subarus because their design does not appeal to me. In fact, it repulses me! Every single car they’ve ever made is hideous to me. I have never felt compelled to let a single Subaru driver know this. 😒

Lots of people hate the way our fucking trucks look. Some of them just hate Elon. Some of them have the unmitigated gall to think that gives them the right to put their hands or other things on our vehicles or share their unsolicited opinions with gestures or words.

Some of those people used to roll coal. I’ve got news for you, flinging noxious fumes at me is just as much of a black letter definition of “offensive touching of my property” as is pissing on it. That’s a difference of degree, not of kind.

But for some of you, so long as the right kind of person is doing it, you’re OK with just about any kind of antisocial behavior. You’re not principled, you’re prejudiced!

You’re not against putting people in boxes. You’re just pissed when the box is shaped like a Cybertruck, and you’re in it!
