Was this at a Tesla service center?
Yes, it was at a service center in Phoenix and the AC didn't work it was 80C on the thermostat at the inside service center lol. To top it off there was 1 person working, eventually it was 2 people (then 1 person left and it was back to 1 again) but there must have been 20-25 people in the service room at one time. Then there was the waiting for 2.5hrs (it was 103C outside) the experience wasn't like picking up a vehicle at Porsche or BMW... 2/10 for the experience. In the waiting room some guy mentioned this is just how it with Tesla, but I really hope its not. (as I wait for my service appointment in mid August).

I’ve been to many service appointments and Service Centers. And it’s always been peaceful and like 4:1 employees to customers. In and out so fast. Hopefully you just had a busy day, and that’s just not how Phoenix normally is.

So just got an email for "Next Steps for Your Cybertruck Order" It looks like it's just a general info on what to expect. I still have no VIN, but the second step in financing to submit paper work for Proof of Payment. I haven't finalized my loan yet, because I'll be paying a chunk of it in cash and still need to sell my Car(Waiting for VIN). Has anyone else got this email, what does it mean?( Am I closer) Do I need to finalize payment before I'll get a VIN?
Gax, White or gray interior?

Grey interior, But I think it was just a glitch or something. Still no VIN. I updated payment methods around (see if Tesla financing could give me a better rate, they could not.) And now the app is showing like it was, with the Make your Final Payment Tab greyed out again. Looking at the email, it does seem specific to Colorado and I think it's just informing me on extra tax benefits.

Sorry to hear. But I was about to jump and change to gray

Well, interestingly, I got a new VIN assigned last night. 20k range.

And, this morning, I got a text to schedule a delivery appointment! So, if the stars align, I should be picking up the new (OG white) beast tomorrow morning.

I have all my fingers and toes crossed. Don't ask what I'm typing this with.

(to recap: reserved beast on reveal day, RN11280xxx, configured on 12/28/23, possible pickup 7/19/2024, so 204 days from config to delivery)

Yay! Not that it took so long but that your wait might soon be over! I delayed 3 days (I didn’t watch the reveal and had no idea I would “have to have” the CT) and that cost me 3-6 months.

Thanks! And I feel for you.

I think, for me anyway, it would have been easier to accept the wait (since they did say "mid-to-late 2024") for the beasts - EXCEPT they didn't seem to adhere to the RN/config dates and have delivered them seemingly at random, in random order. A friend of mine got his beast more than a month ago, and he configured a month after I did. But he's in CA, and I'm in WA and I guess that matters. Either that or he's a secret Kardashian/influenza/pro ball player/rapper.

Anyway, hang in there!

I configured 5/31. But I picked the gray interior and all-season tires, so I probably hosed myself.

Still waiting on vin… first day reservation, config 12/26, changed to gray first day it became an option.

Fortunately not in a rush but still a long wait!

Update: Successfully took delivery this morning. Couple minor scratches on the steel, but nothing the service center said they couldn't handle. Almost can't believe it.

Now it's weird, not having anything to be annoyed at Tesla for... I feel like a part of me is missing.

(it's friggin' awesome - definitely worth waiting for)
