Cyberbeast waiting room ⏳

Just got my vin for cyberbeast in Florida and I had changed to tactical grey about six weeks back. Had confirmed order 2/22. I did have one item they noted would be changed (see photo). Any significance to this ?

Fwiw I was also an October - December delivery.

No I didn’t have a banner of any sort. Didn’t know until I clicked on that and saw vin issuance

I did get a text from Tesla later in the day alerting me to check the app and complete process

Well, Allstate is no longer going to be my insurance carrier. They wanted a $200 increase per month for the CyberBeast. For a total of $438 a month for it and a 2018 Model 3. That’s with house, motorcycles and an umbrella bundled discounts.

To put that in perspective. I have a quote from Farmers and Progressive for only the CyberBeast and two drivers for $180 a month. No bundling. Cheaper to pull a separate policy.

And if I move all of my insurance over to Farmers, it’s $90 / month for the truck and Model 3 each. And I save on my house and motorcycles.

I -really- hate insurance companies.

I decided to take out a loan. And Ill likely ETF / Plaid payment the rest of it the day of when I see the truck. I'm not concerned with minor things and about the only issue I'd reject the truck for is if it had crash damage. Like someone just heavily curbed it and I think there is casting frame damage or major bent parts.
There is a warranty for a reason. Everything else can be noted during delivery and fixed. I just want my damn truck.

I got a new VIN Tuesday and am picking up Saturday. My first VIN came in late June but I didn’t take delivery because I was OCONUS.

I checked my app all day, every hour or so, and sometimes more. Around 3:45pm, I opened the app which now looked like this on the main page:

So guys, you don't need to be clicking through a bunch of crap. It shows up on the main screen. I could have save 10000 clicks and a lot of wear on my phone if I knew this...

Anyways, I immediately started clicking about to see if I could schedule pickup. I could not. It gave me payment options and insurance options, but that was all. I also could not yet seem to do any sort of chat or call from the Tesla app because I don't actually have a vehicle yet. So I began trying to call my service center by phone. I walked the whole phone tree over the next 20 minutes. Every path lead to a hang up.
F it, I am getting in the car and driving there.

On my way to the service center I called my wife and told her the great news. I told her that realistically, it means we actually see a truck no earlier than this weekend, but likely in a few weeks.

I arrived at the Tyson's service center and did not have to wait long to talk to someone. She was very friendly and helpful and looked up my VIN. She said the truck IS HERE RIGHT NOW! She then took me on a walk back through a warehouse and we located the Beast. There it was, in all of its glory!

Unfortunately, it is now around 4:30pm. While it is a Christmas miracle that over the span of 45 minutes I went from nothing, to a VIN, to a real life Beast, but unfortunately my luck ends here. There is no possible way for me to conjure up $127k after market close on a random Thursday with no notice. I had to head home with nothing.

Was it real? Was it a dream? I am scheduled to pick up tomorrow, but I don't actually know if I can unlock my money that fast. It might have to be Monday or Tuesday, but time will tell.

(Oh, and there were no wheel covers on the wheels.)
