Hello all! I have good news and bad news:

Good news is I'm getting a Cybertruck/Cyberbeast! White interior trim, 35's, non-foundation.

The bad news is I was scheduled for delivery today and about an hour before pickup I was about to get in the car to leave and I get a call from the service manager that there was "a containment hold on my truck". "something to do with the power containment system, IDK" and that "it was a 4 hour job, and we don't have the part on hand but we'll let you know as soon as we know more".

Has anyone seen anything like this before? I makes me nervous that a new truck needs a 4 hour powertrain/HV system repair. Thoughts?

I've had zero issues with a MYP and my local service center has been fantastic otherwise (same day windshield replacement when a trash semi decided to drop a chunk of concrete).
I know it sucks, but don't lose hope. I had a similar situation with my delivery. Not the best delivery experience, but I've had my CB for a month and everyday feels like "pinch me, is this real?".

Before delivery: mid body voltage controller(?) needed replacement. 1 week delay. Since this was before my delivery, it does not show in the service history area of the Tesla app.

At delivery: I drove 1 block out of SC driveway only to find out there was a severe suspension/alignment issue that made the truck undriveable (pulled severely to the right constantly and made a dragging noise). Did a U turn and took it right back (literally had ownership 10 minutes). Needed suspension fasteners replaced/tightened and alignment. 5 day delay.

Still missing my *included roof shade screen, SC delivery contact ghosted me on that. I placed a service request to see if I can get one sent. They scheduled me a service appt for the 24th for the missing shadescreen (?!). We'll see how this small issue works out.

Crazy suprise this morning.

When I was at Tesla yesterday the CB reported I had no software updates but also no FSD bummer.

Then hours later at home I was updated that about 5 software updates were waiting for me. BUT I seemingly needed to hook the car up to Wi-fi.

I have a detached garage behind the house so no WiFi reach.

So I went out there with my phone for a while and LTE tethered it. It downloaded half of one :/

Came inside and went to bed.

Woke up this morning to see it had downloaded all 5 updates over the vehicle LTE !

I think it’s saying it needs an hour to install each one so I’ll prolly chillax and do one at a time.

It’s installing the FSD now.

Well, the skies parted, and I picked up my CyberBeast yesterday evening!

Took delivery at the Richmond, VA SC. Absolutely, no problems and by orders of magnitude the easiest new car purchase I have ever made! (Even though it cost more than my first 3 houses!) I could have been out the door in 2 minutes if I had not asked the sales staff to go over a few things on the truck with me (first time EV owner). Sophie could not have been more gracious. :)

The truck had 7 miles when I picked it up and it now has 92. A bit of a learning curve, but I love the technology. I did need to use the wiper (BAW) on the way home and IT worked great. Still figuring out the "infotainment" systems.

Biggest dislike thus far is the interior rearview mirror, as my grandfather would say, "useless as tits on a boar hog." Biggest like so far is just the overall driving experience... smooth and so quiet.

Anyhow, here are the details, vin 0369xx, gray interior, cyberwheels and AT tires w/aero covers!, RN 113297xxx in Feb 2020, ordered on May 30, 2024.

Amazing! Congrats! If this is non-FS, could we see interior pics? Mostly curious about the interior trim. It’s supposed to say “Cyberbeast” where it used to say “Foundation”

I'm scheduled to pick up my CB this Saturday. In prep I used AI to pull details from various post in this forum then edited and added to create this list. Update and adjust as needed.

Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Inspection Checklist

Introduction: This checklist is designed to help you focus on cosmetic issues that might be rejected if not identified during the delivery process. Pay close attention to details that could be disputed later, such as scratches, dents, or alignment issues, especially those that might be assumed to have occurred after you took delivery.

1. Exterior Inspection
  • Body Panels and Trim: Check for scratches, dents, panel misalignment, or damage to stainless steel panels and plastic trim.
  • Glass: Inspect all windows, including the windshield, for scratches or chips.
  • Stainless Steel Quality: Inspect the quality of the stainless-steel body for uniformity, scratches, and any surface imperfections.
  • VIN Verification: Confirm that the VIN on the vehicle matches your delivery documents.
2. Interior Inspection
  • Seats and Dashboard: Check seats, dashboard, and trim for damage, scratches, or any signs of wear.
  • Functionality of Interior Components: Test door locks, window controls, mirrors, and wipers. Ensure all doors, including the tailgate and vault, function correctly.
  • Rattles and Noises: Inspect for any rattles, particularly around the dashboard, door panels, and other trim areas.
3. Functional Checks
  • Lighting: Test all exterior and interior lights, including headlights, taillights, indicators, and bed lights.
  • Advanced Features: Ensure all advanced features and systems specific to your model are functioning as expected.
  • USB Ports: Test the USB ports to ensure they are functioning correctly and verify that they match the configuration (USB-C ports in the center console and USB-A in the glovebox). Confirm that they work for charging and data transfer where applicable.
  • Sentry System Setup: Format the USB drive correctly for the Sentry Mode system and verify that the system is recording as expected.
4. Drivability Tests
  • Vehicle Power-On: Check that the vehicle powers on without any warnings.
  • Regenerative Braking: Test the regenerative braking system to familiarize yourself with its feel.
  • Noise and Handling: Listen for unusual noises during a short drive and assess handling performance.
5. Wheels and Tires
  • Tire Condition: Inspect tires for wear and damage. Remove excess tire shine.
  • Wheels: Inspect rims for any signs of damage. Check wheel covers for proper installation and alignment.
6. Accessories and Features
  • Included Extras: Verify that all accessories, such as mats, gear locker dividers, and aero covers, are included and properly installed. All-Weather Interior Liners, Glass Roof Sunshade, Center Console Tray, Gear Locker Dividers, Vault D-Rings, L-Track Hooks, L-Track Bottle Opener, J1772 Adapter, and Mobile Connector
  • Off-Road Light Bar *when available
  • Interior Electronics: Test the infotainment screen for dead pixels, responsiveness, and any scratches.
7. Final Steps
  • Documentation of Issues: If you find any issues, take detailed photos and report them immediately to the delivery advisor. Use the Tesla app to schedule service appointments for any problems not resolved on the spot.
  • Payment and Documentation: Complete final payments and ensure all documentation, such as registration and insurance details, are correctly processed.
8. Post-Delivery Follow-Up
  • Service Appointments: Ensure any reported issues are logged and scheduled for service as needed.
  • Post-Delivery Checklist: Familiarize yourself with the Owner’s Manual and Tesla’s in-app features for continued support and service scheduling.
This is perfect!! Thank You!!

Are folks still waiting for their CBs or are all orders that were placed 60+days ago delivered? Wondering where folks are with the deliveries and where Tesla is in terms of order to delivery now
