Hi, I am not familiar with using Bar Keepers Helper on my truck. I have watched videos of it being used. The info I have showed that it is used as a buffing compound requiring manual buffing after application. CYBERBRITE only requires continual wet application, followed by pressure washing and drying. I also do not know if BKH passivates when applied. I know that CYBERBRITE passivates (creates protective layer) and last 4 to 6 months in normal conditions. Hope this helps

I used it after this past winter with road salt and grime. Cold weather in Feb kept me from washing the truck for over a month. This cleaned and removed stains from the stainless steel.
Could you share how you handled the application?

@CYBERBRITE1 instructions say to keep each section wet for 20 minutes, then wash that section before moving to the next. Is that how you did it?

In Oklahoma heat, keeping a section wet for 20 minutes is going to be difficult. My plan was to work inside the garage, but that means pulling the truck out to wash each section, then back into the garage for the next one. Any tips or suggestions?

Do it in the shade, early in the morning. Moving in & out of a garage may be cumbersome but ASS could help with that.

I started on one side at one end and did each panel then came back and flushed each panel with generous amounts of water. Found that using a hose with no sprayer attached helped kept things from splashing over to the untreated panels.

Probably didn't wait the full 20 mins, more like 15 to do one whole side (from applying then going back and rinsing). Then work your way around, front end of CT, then the other side and then the back tailgate, applying & rinsing as you go.

I did need to do two applications, so I dried everything with a clean microfiber towel then looked over each panel carefully and started the second application giving more attention to stained areas. Came out great and looked like the panels when I picked it up over a year ago.

Easy to do and much easier than waxing a painted car.

No ASS as of yet. Picked up on 06/20. Its the new SAWD version. Reserved on 06/22, VIN assigned on 06/18, picked up on 06/20.
Thanks for the explanation. I plan on tackling this project on Saturday. Will post an update here on how it goes.

I just ordered.

I am hoping the product will remove the stained areas on the SS steel. I applied BKF with a non scratch pad and a few stains still remain on the SS.

I will post an update after I receive the product and apply after following the directions.
