That statement is total BS. Everything they do is to make money. That's what businesses do.
Ideally one would have designed it to be able to pivot upward so as to move out of the way without requiring removal of any sort.
Yeah, not including an electric pump for the tent when you have a vehicle with easily accessible outlets in the bed is another head scratcher.
The pump actually makes decent sense - it’s a proprietary Heim planet wide-valve so it’s fairly easy to inflate + super easy to deflate. Def would be cooler to have self inflating + deflating, but I can understand the design choice since that might result in over-inflating/popping the tent structure.
