Cybertent ordering and installation

For those who have purchased a CyberTent, was installation into the bed included? My SC is saying it is my responsibility but on the product page it clearly states installation is included unless I am completely misunderstanding this. The service bulletin looks a bit complicated and l interpret it as being meant for the SC technicians.

That is not what they told me when I arrived. They had installed my tent on a showroom CT and didn’t even realize it until I pulled into the bay. They were merely going to put the box in my bed and leave it up to me. I have a new appointment a month from now. I don’t know if this is inexperience on the SC or they wanted my tent for display and took it. Regardless, it is clear that installation is included so I’m at a loss as to how to proceed since they think I’m responsible for the installation. Is a relatively new SC so may have been the first tent they have seen.

I had to have mine installed by Tesla. Originally they wanted to do it mobile but then the day before they were supposed to arrive they told me it had to be at the SC since they didn’t have a service vehicle big enough to transport the tent in.

That is what happened to me as well. My primary concern here is that they are telling me that I have to install it and the service bulletin is clearly meant for SC technicians so I’m not sure how to escalate it without being rude and insulting their staff. My spouse has a Mercedes EV and they replaced a run flat tire free of charge since it was a recent purchase and long standing customers.

It’s actually incredibly easy to install. I bought a brand new one from someone who was turning in their Beast under the lemon law. It has installation instructions too. So it is now in my Foundation Beast at half the price of buying from Tesla.

thats how mine was done and I had no other choice
it was included in the cost of the tent

I went to get it installed and was told that I should just install it myself. They put it in the bed, and I haven't installed it yet.

well it does not look difficult to do and i wish i had been given that option as it was at a time when they were busy and I had to wait several weeks for them to fit it.

The SC has now advised that installation is included. I’m barely qualified to operate a screwdriver and even the tent setup is intimidating but shouldn’t be too hard after a couple of times.

Tent setup is easy. just follow instructions the first time. dont force anything. careful with folding out (and back in) the support legs, and get help zipping the sucker back into the cover when putting away, that's hit or miss with me as the cover can get trapped in the sides, so you have to open and close a few times. make sure you get the back ratchet strap in place and press down on that, as it helps a LOT. overall once you do it the first time. its not a big deal to take out and out back. Its of the highest quality and well worth it.

I had my original one installed by Tesla then Just Reinstalled it in my new Cyber by myself.. It is stupid simple.

I would have preferred that option but it seems Tesla wants to do it .

I am not sure if they actually open the tent to see if it’s all good . I presume not .
