Looks like people have become too lazy to look around. Remember those days when we had to put one hand on the passenger seat and turn our head/half body around for reversing the car? :)

Essentially the OP is admitting they have no clue how to use the blind spot detection warning system which has triple redundancy (red light in speakers next to side mirrors, audible chime—when enabled, and red warning onscreen when turn signals are activated). .. some people like to learn the hard way…??‍♂

A pillar visibility definitely isn’t great but not much worse than in many other vehicle. It’s not that much worse than in my 20 Yukon. So I would not go and blame the A pillar as the root cause of the accident.
Yes, especially since the A-pillar doesn't move or dance about erratically. The cause of the crash was not making sure the coast was clear. I wish apologists for bad drivers would stop blaming everything but the person who caused the accident.

Mission accomplished!

OP signs up for a new account. Drops photos of an unfortunate event, makes the post seem neutral, then drops a conspiracy theory about visibility issues and that it's to blame. Moves on to the next mission of spreading FUD.
Guess one could say the same for me then. I dislike the blind spot from A pillar and have driven 15k in miles..

Guess I am a FUDster as well. My son driving it also complains on sharp corners it is hard to see around.

Yep we sell FUD by the family. Somethings are real. Many here don't even have a truck and are complaining about OP.

Mission accomplished. Is this first grade or kindergarten?

For whatever reason I don’t find it hard to see around the blind spot area or think it has a big blind spot. I wonder if it is different for taller people? Both myself and my wife are over 6’2”

Could it be something like that? I feel like I can see very well.

Sucks about the crash. Hope you get it back soon and everyone is not hurt.
If you didn't tell me that it was a blind spot, I wouldn't have known that it was a blind spot.
I looked last night, It's not that big of a deal.

Sure, if you don't move your head and you are a complete standstill, you might miss something.
I hope that you weren't taught to drive like that.

Here is a Cybertruck vs Lexus on Ventura Blvd. in Woodland hills CA. On June 10. Hopefully not bad enough to total the truck. Maybe about 30 mph on the Lexus and the Cyber truck entered from the side street. Maybe the Lexus was in the blind area of the A pillar as the Cybertruck entered the intersection.

Totally agree . The only reason I knew about the “blind spot” was because of the reviews. I don’t see it.

There's a blindspot of varying size and shape on every vehicle there, though. Especially modern cars with curtain airbags ...and moreso good rollover and front offset crash ratings.

It's rough seeing a Cybertragedy like this. Who cares about the women & kids, is the Cybertruck going to be OK? ?
