Here is a Cybertruck vs Lexus on Ventura Blvd. in Woodland hills CA. On June 10. Hopefully not bad enough to total the truck. Maybe about 30 mph on the Lexus and the Cyber truck entered from the side street. Maybe the Lexus was in the blind area of the A pillar as the Cybertruck entered the intersection.

p.s. for those that were worried about FUD, I added some pork FUD. I’m just trying to let people know to be aware and take the time to look twice before moving from a stop. It doesn’t matter what car you’re driving most have a large A pillar now.

Indeed from the drivers seat that two-column A pillar takes up a lot of space. There is a triangle window there but it is obscured a lot it seems from some of the reviews AND ones that specifically show what it looks like from the drivers eyes view point.

The blind spot is pretty bad in the CT. I have to move my upper body all around to clearly see. Especially when driving in front of stores where pedestrians are walking.

My only two complaints about this truck are the A-pillar issue when on winding roads or turning. The other is the sharp edges. Otherwise an incredible piece of engineering!

Armchair detective alert!!!

The intersection of Ponce Ave and Ventura BLVD is a 2 way stop for Ponce Ave. If what OP says is correct, CT was entering or crossing Ventura BLVD from a stop sign, and Ventura is 8 lanes wide, huge. The Ponce Ave crossing is also offset (not straight across), which adds complication to the situation here. Based on the time of day, and the migratory behavior of seagulls, wind was a factor, as was the glare of Venus, a virgin sneezed, causing an accident that can only be blamed on the death rattle of a nearby ant queen in a 2 week old ant colony in-between the cracks of the nearby Jack In The Box sidewalk.

Peeps not paying attention, going too fast, smashy they cars together. A-pillar Shmay-pillar, just look around you and you will see cars. I mean, yeah it's a slightly chunky pillar, but both these drivers messed up at the same time. Case closed.

Book'em, Danno.

A pillar visibility definitely isn’t great but not much worse than in many other vehicle. It’s not that much worse than in my 20 Yukon. So I would not go and blame the A pillar as the root cause of the accident.

If we indicate a turn… front cams should enable on screen so we can ‘see thru‘ blind spot.

Another member of victimhood.

Human crashed because human, thats it. FSD wouldn't have crashed.

I’m sorry you have to deal with this. I’ve had a couple close calls because of the Blindspot. I expect they’ll figure out new design for the next generation. It’s really unsafe.
