Have owned my foundation for the last 5 months and love it - my first Tesla, first EV - couldn't be happier (with the vehicle). No real issues, other than like most of you still waiting on my dang wheel covers (grrrr). Ownership has been great, simple service appointments easy to schedule via the app. However - while appointments are generally easy to deal with without humans via the app, reaching a live person for customer service is absolutely horrible and I've currently got a few outstanding issues with a part I ordered from their online store that I have no idea how to get resolved. No options for dealing with this on their customer service phone number - this has generally be a them on this forum.

So with that backstory - I'm in the early stages of a designing a custom home and would like to consider the Tesla Powerwall, but worried their customer service will be just as bad as the vehicle side of the business. Anyone reading this have the Powerwall and run into any issues (technical support, sales, etc.) where they had trouble getting in touch with a human?

Get Enphase Solar and batteries. They are suppose to be coming out with a bidirectional charger like Powershare as well. After realizing how bad Teslas customer service is I would never consider their solar. Just too many better options. Love the CB though.

Tesla is great unless you need to talk with a live person. PowerShare is worse if that's even possible.

With respect to PowerShare when Qmerit assigns a third party to do your estimate ask where you will be in the queue. The third party company told me 21 and after 5 months still waiting. Tesla does not get involved in this process, but you can ask for an alternate installer if you think the wait is going to be long.

Service has gotten horrible by the day. Tesla is not staffing Service for the numbers sold. Appointments take 3 months. We need to flood Elons X account with complaints

I have Tesla solar and power wall batteries. The system is great and the install was fantastic. You still use the app for service if needed and trying to get a human is very challenging - similar to the car side of the business. I love their products but the customer service has to get better.

It is terrible. I have my box waiting to be installed. If I want to lose an hour our two I will try and make contact with a human being. My strategy has become to wait it out until I can find someone local to do the install and deal with the bureaucracy of Tesla. Good luck.

Yes, hopeless. Tesla is great, except when you need support, then it's not great. If you need to speak to a human, it's dire. This is their support model, so it's a good thing their stuff is generally reliable.

I Will definitely back the “getting a hold of a human is impossible and frustrating” but the other side of the wait time and service is some people make service appointments because there’s tire is low and can’t take off a wheel cover and it backs it all up for the people with resl problems. Also if you ever had a different car it isn’t like Chevy or Toyota or any of the other guys are much better or faster
