Curious to hear peoples thoughts on the feasibility of using the CT for pipeline work. Basically using the truck as an office, typically 10 hr days, 40-300km per day of driving on/off road everyday in the mountains, heating/cooling almost all day in winter/summer, remote locations (current location has two 50kw chargers) and no superchargers for hundreds of km at the moment, cold winters (currently -20C.)

My concerns are charging and winter temps. We have a model y so not foreign to the ev space.

It seems like unless you know your terrain, it's a bad deal, because of the miles involved.

Now, if there were chargers you could stop at once or twice a day, sure.

Mebbeh just for peace of mind, carry a gas generator for a year. I know, that turns your CT into a hybrid, and it flies in the face of everything EV, but it beats getting stuck up a mountain. Just until you're comfortable with your range.
