The description for the FS premium upgrades says “Full Self Driving Capable”. How sure are we that the FS includes free FSD software and not just the hardware that makes FSD possible? If so, why doesn’t it say Free FSD like it says free premium connectivity?

FSD is a subscription (software). FSD capability is hardware.

So the subscription for FSD is NOT included in the FS only the hardware? I thought all Teslas came FSD Capable.

I asked this recently. Most think it comes “free” (though you pay for it with FS).. but usuable the moment it hits the truck.. but has anyone heard it straight from Tesla’s mouth? Would be a total dick move it they made you subscribe

All Foundation Series Cybertrucks come with FSD for the lifetime of the vehicle. Period.

You are over-thinking this and spinning yourself into a tizzy.

I appreciate your confidence, but I'd feel better if I heard it from Tesla. I know everyone expects it, me too! Especially after paying the FS premium.

I'm not in my truck at the moment, but I believe if you look in the Cybertruck setting under software you will see language that confirms that it is included.

To me, this means the FSD computer is present. And, additionally, Full Self-Driving capability. If you click on the little i next to Full Self Driving Capability, it says it “enables your car to …” to do these things.

And from their website:
“With Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability, you will get access to a suite of more advanced driver assistance features, designed to provide more active guidance and assisted driving under your active supervision.”
So it says you get access to it.

Let me make it easy for you.

It does include FSD and Full Self Driving when the software gets ported.
Period. No need for discussion.

Anything that you read to the contrary is being misinterpreted.

The statements have been reviewed by long term Tesla and Tesla FSD owners. We are all familiar with the exact terminology being used and we have similar vehicles with the same UI that is worded identical.

Thank you! I'm currently waiting for my VIN and have nothing better to do than research, question, guess, assume, interpret, speculate, and read posts here constantly! ?

Thanks. I've had a Tesla (MX) since 2018 that included FSD, traded it in on a 2024 MS (transferred FSD) and am familiar with it as well. The wording on the order form isn't as clear as it could be, especially when Elon says things like all Tesla cars being made today are FSD capable. Doesn't mean they have it, just that they are capable of having it. @NightOwl did some screen shots that will let me sleep better tonight ?
